Al Stewart
Derek Sneddon’s Testimonial Committee will have on display at Peterborough on Sunday at the Premier Fours the ex-Hans Andersen 2006 Speedway machine which is being raffled for his Testimonial funds. Derek travelled down to Belle Vue on Monday night to meet up with Hans, now with Swindon of course, to get the Danish superstar to sign the bike. It’s a complete machine from Hans’ Peterborough days, with the Panthers’ covers. Hans said “The bike certainly did me proud that season. Everyone will remember we won the last heat decider at Peterborough to win the league that year. I came in as a substitute to the Grand Prix’s, won a couple of GP’s. I did four GP’s and I had four rostrum finishes. Everything just seemed to fall into place that year, I scored a lot of points. “I’m very happy that the bike is going to do some good for Derek’s Testimonial.” Derek Sneddon wishes to thank the Peterborough Promotion plus BSPA members Dave Hoggart and George English for permission to take the bike to Peterborough. Tickets to win the bike are £10 each. Derek’s Testimonial meeting is at Armadale on 13th September.

dantodan
As a Newcastle fan I would like to praise Deek for his days at Newcastle. He was infuriating at times when he run a third or last for no noticeable reason! and fell off a lot, but the little guy gave Newcastle his all. Best wishes Derek and I am sure I speak for hundreds of diamonds fans in wishing you well BUT please don't come down to Brough Park and clock up a match winning score
Mr Blobby
So only a day to go till Derek's big day with a jam packed evening with the 4 team tournament, some demo laps from Les and Aidan Collins on short stroke bikes and a couple of veterans races as well. Teams for the event: Edinburgh Replacement for Thomas H Jonasson Max Fricke Joe Tabaka Frede Schott Glasgow James Grieves Theo Pijper Matthew Wethers Ryan Macdonald Newcastle Kenneth Bjerre Andrew Tully Rene Bach Adam Mckinna Rest of the World Ryan Fisher Claus Vissing Wayne Carter Ludvig Lindgren With Derek taking a ride each for each team. Lord Antebellum
Sadly too far for me to come, but I did buy a ticket for the big Hans Andersen raffle when I was at Berwick's Under-21 showcase, so will be awaiting a call later tonight to tell me I own a speedway bike. Best of luck to Derek, it is guys like him - not the superstars - who realy deserve Testimonials.

Al Stewart
There are a small number of race jackets from D-Day: The Derek Sneddon Testimonial, available for auction. These have not been made available before because most of the jackets were either bought by the rider sponsors or retained by the riders, all of whom paid the required fee! The ones we have left are: Monarchs no. 3 Jozsef Tabaka Tigers no. 6 Theo Pijper Tigers’ no. 7 Joey Ringwood Rest of the World no. 14 Claus Vissing Each is autographed, We will be putting these up for auction starting at the Scottish Cup match on Friday. I think we are asking for a starting bid of £50 (which is the concessionary rate paid by the rider sponsors) but would like to get more. If required bids can be submitted to mike.hunter@edinburghmonarchs.co
