Backless
All in all, it sounds like the meeting was a hell of a rollicking roller later of a night out, without a clue as to what might happen next. Albeit without silverware to be chased, a decent way to spend a Saturday night in Berwick - are there really THAT many more enjoyable alternatives? I wouldn't think so.

As far as I am aware, there are no knocking shops in Berwick, so you are probably right.

Backless
Will we run next year? Has there been ANY suggestion (other than amongst your little band of happy people) that there is any doubt at all about running in 2014, or have you just deciding to start a new vein of sniping?

YAMYAMBANDIT
Screm, this is one of those rare occasions where I agree with you 100%. It was also good to see the track in suck good condition: makes a mock of Taffy's earlier posts. Aspergren was dismal tonight. Starke is improving massively. A great meeting from him. Despite his excellent performance, our number 3 ensured we were always going to struggle to win this. Great to see Ricky back. How little you know, had a long discussion/arguament with Razer the other week, track prep on Sat., was very close to what was argued for. So well done to Razer & Heppy for a much better track, and well done with the watering, it shows how important it is. I was seriously entertained against Redcar on sat night, pity we lost, but very enjoyable meeting, we were beaten by a team that was up for it, some of our team wer not at the races.

Agree the track was good on Sat it slickens off towards the end ,but at least the riders can give it a go when prepared this way .A lot of decent entertainment with the nail biting finish and none of these exciting re-runs which some fans like!! Beaten by the better team on the night.Spoke to one of the Redcar riders who though it could have done with more water on it before meeting but appreciated the the football had been on and the track was drying quickly. screm
I like paul starke, id keep him over barrett Starke has done more than could ever have been asked of him in general, fair to say hes had one or two quieter meetings of late but he was certainly back on form last saturday. Our season has just not started and I for one am already looking forward to the winter months as we set about rebuilding our side once again after another false dawn. Let's not cover old ground here, its been widely accepted that we should have signed Micky instead of Alex. We need to move on and look to the future. We need to have a solid team for next year with decent reserves. Paul is making great progress and I would love to see us stick by him next year but in an ideal world he needs a 4.5-5 point man alongside him to take the pressure away and allow him to continue his development. A team headed up by Seb and Kozza with a middle order of David, Matty and Micky Dyer and say a Lewis Kerr alongside Paul at reserve would do nicely for me! Kozza Smith is taking part in the Longtrack GP Qualifier in September, should he be successful then it would be daft to sign him at Berwick next season given the amount of saturday nights he be missing.

Drac
Dyer looked a class act even in his early days at Dudley when I watched him. He has taken time to settle to Premier League and it reminds you of a certain Wayne Brown when he joined Berwick all those years ago. Redcar are reaping the rewards now and because of Dyer are up at top of league and in Cup semi. We have a 7 man team - not a 1 man team.
