Somerset V Workington Koc 5 July

Recommended Posts

As long as the Comets turn up and make a match of this I'll be happy, Lawson/Bach went very well here in the pairs so should be able to get among the points again, Rusty not too bad either so if the rest of the boys can chip in a few it may not be as bad as it's being predicted!! :P. Not expecting the win but at least to keep it tight, I'll go 50-40 and hope for better!! :D

Well, my head says that Workington will be the slightly easier opponents in the semi final but my heart says Somerset so that I can see the blue & gold army back down at the OTA again!!!

Won't be easy and Somerset are favourites but so were Redcar to beat us at home. Good to see Rich get 8pts for Sheffield last night after finishing last in the first heat. Should go well tonight too.

Don't think I could handle another trip to Armadale, especially after last time!

Good Luck Boys, stay safe, can only see Somerset progress through  , but you never know , will depend who is riding for Somerset. The sun looks as if its out down there, lets hope they have the track staff on a tight leash this time :icon_smile_clown:

The Rebels top five is as normal but Tom has lost his battle to be fit so Sheffield's Damien Koppe steps in to partner honorary Rebel Lewis Rose at reserve.

Don`t think Koppe has even seen the OTA, as long as the top 5 are at the races and no more injuries PLEASE, we should be ok.

Taken your time to witness this great little track stevebrum! You will enjoy it I am sure. Not there tonight myself, but you will soon see it is great little circuit with basic but nevertheless worthy of a visit facilities. :t:

Sounds like a bit more good fortune for Somerset to see them through. Great effort from the Comets when everyone was writing them off

It was only good fortune up in Cumbria that enabled Workington to get as close as they did ;)

I don't think anyone can seriously argue that Somerset haven't had the rub of the green over the 3 legs of our two legged match

Sorry, don`t agree, Somerset started with three injured riders tonight who registered six last places in nine starts (at home ). Also in the first leg, Kyle locked up in front of Doyle, Doyle off 5-1 to the Comets and heat 15 rebels on 4-2 , Doyle`s chain off 4-2 to the Comets, swings and roundabouts mate, tonight we won, unlike last seasons play off where we lost by one.Sounds like it was a great match though.
