Event 1: Czestochowa, Poland #Sunday # July 2013

Recommended Posts

Do we have confirmation that Eurosport will show the WHOLE meeting, but delayed until 3.30pm? Or will they just join the meeting live at 3.30pm so that we miss half the meeting?

Surprised that Czestochowa, one of the best-supported teams in Poland, or the PZM, doesn't have track covers.

One up to the BSPA?

Well it`s on for 150 mins so i would suggest it`s the whole meeting(delayed live coverage) if not we might get about 30 mins racing only as the meeting starts at 2 pm our time.

Or is it just highlights till the mega-important volleyball starts?

That's rather sad and pathetic really :(

Not really, no more that your quote that Sky's coverage is far superior than Eurosport's coverage. Being as Eurosport's coverage have been mostly live feeds that Sky would use with existing Sky presenters there is little difference, so small in fact, I can easily tolerate it so see speedway on TV. You just appear to find fault with everything Eurosport does and without Eurosport we would not be seeing it at all, certainly not be covered on BBC would it? Just be happy with what we have, please.

I hear that if its rained off tomorrow as well, Australia are seeded through to the final, with Poland and Russia to the race-off - based on the current world rankings??!! EDIT: Sorry hadn't seen this already posted!!!

Now this is interesting.

All those who worship at the 'Eurosport is better than SKY' altar should remember that SKY once waited for 4 hours or more for a waterlogged Polish track to be deemed fit that same evening filling in with discussion from it's knowledgable panel and old speedway clips.

Also several times SKY has rescheduled for live coverage of rained off meetings in SWC the next day.

Eurosport would rather show 'volleyball'......... a sport I for one don't even know what it actually is other than it obviously has a 'ball' :)

Of course 2 hours late is better than not at all but it shows perfectly why SKY was much better than the amateurishly run speedway show Eurosport peddle.

SKY also plonked Speedway on the 'Red Button' which many of viewers couldn't access.

It was Sky that chose not to take the SGP and SWC coverage this year so how you can keep knocking Eurosport baffles me. Would you rather no on showed it

It does not matter whether it is volleyball, underwater Quoits or nude darts. Eurosport coverage of speedway is in no way, shape or form better than SKY :)

Yes it is because they actually ~SHOW Speedway, Sky don't.

SKY also plonked Speedway on the 'Red Button' which many of viewers couldn't access.

and as Sky have live sport on all 4 channels tomorrow, if they had been showing the speedway the "Red Button" is where it would have been.

Why the hell can't people just accept Sky didn't want Speedway and be grateful to Eurosport for picking up the pieces.

If Eurosport didn't step in, I'm pretty sure Sky would have picked it up for peanuts.

Eurosport are a joke, Why pick up speedway if your not going to treat it with respect.

Nice one, that has got to be the dumbest quote of the season. The way I see it, Sky didn't want it and Eurosport picked it up for peanuts. Lets just be glad we can still watch it, Moto GP and the Tour de France are much bigger than Speedway, well done to Eurosport for finding a slot for it.
