Star Lady
There were lots of tweets before the meeting about getting behind Team GB and GB Pride. Does that only apply to fans as 1 The Manager (now moved sideways to Team Coach so he can play number scrabble) couldn't be bothered to get accredited 2 The riders didn't even attempt to sing the National Anthem. Why should the fans display pride when the Manager Coach and riders don't? Just asking. Also once Kennett was dropped I saw no sign of a manager/coach with him trying to keep his spirits/confidence up. The only person TV showed near him was Harris. Woz01
Michael Jepsen Jensen 15 point maximum on his last visit. In an u21 event where the track wasnt fit for racing.
LagutaRacingFan
In an u21 event where the track wasnt fit for racing. U21 event that included the likes of Maciej Janowki, Patryk Dudek, Mikkel Bech Jensen, Shamek Pawlicki. and surely the track being in a horrendous state only increases the achievement? Back to the meeting, I feel Kings Lynn should not be allowed to host events, It was like a home meeting for Denmark
Irk Deflector
The track wasn't diabolical at all, in fact after the first few races it was excellent considering the heat and the fact it had been practiced on in the afternoon. Track was terrible for at least the 1st four heats. Most of the riders looked like novices - oh, some were!
SPEEDY69
Well suprise suprise TeamGB don't win and the usual anti Poole/Middlo brigadse are out in force as usual. Did anyone actually think we could challenge Denmark last night? Add to that the most diabolically prepared track at Kings Lynn and it was game over. Terrible meeting for the crowd that bothered to turn up and no passion from the crowd once the Danes had silenced it. Nicholls didn't seem injured to me so what excuse has he got for not riding? Hang your head in shame when your country needs you! Cook and Kennett both tried but both are our of their depth at this level. Nicholls in place of Kennett still wouldn't have won us the meeting but we would have been a little closer. Rubbish meeting, terrible track prep and time to take it elsewhere next year. Take it to a track where Team GB excel and the opposition don't. Steve, the reasons for his absence were widely reported/commented upon previously - have you been in hibernation? It was a culmination of things to do with the BSPA i.e. support for riders' development; support for riders when competing for GB; knowing that the Cardiff GP wasn't to be based on the British Final a long long time before the event but not telling the riders; preventing GB riders from competing in the Euro Champs (he could still have done it, as Andersen did, but didn't want his club Coventry to be penalised). The latter point is now even more farcical in that they've gifted a place in the finals to Woffinden. screm
Also regarding the car parking I expect most other outdoor events in the UK this summer involve parking in a grass field and walking. Its not ideal but hardly unique to Lynn. Probably not,Ive was staying in Peterborough over sunday and monday and last night it took as long to get out of the car park than the journey back to Peterborough.Maybe you could move it to the EoES,theres ample parking there.
Bagpuss
Track was terrible for at least the 1st four heats. Most of the riders looked like novices - oh, some were! That's the problem with people on here, tracks abdn riders are either diabolical and terrible. or brilliant. Never anything in between. Without bring dramatic the track was s little tricky until the first grade but was dine thereafter. No doubt lots of water was put down in the short timeframe after practice to get through twenty heats dust free in the evening which meant it was a little tricky early on. stevebrum
Could someone please inform me why S Nichols is not in the team, I'm guessing its a personal choice thing. Same reasons as Emil, and the Laguta brothers.
Dornier
Don`t understand what Middlo`s supposed to be doing if he didn`t go to the seminar to get the required paperwork surely he`s surplus to requirements. He must be there to fill in Morris`s programme.
Trees
Surely practice shouldn't have taken place on the track on race day, how on earth was Buster supposed to produce a great track after all those laps had taken place on a baking hot day??? Re the GB team, Eddie has never gone well round Lynn, odd pick! Having said that surely all British riders of any quality need to be able to race well on tracks like Lynn? What's the point of being the master of somewhere like Lakeside when the majority of European tracks are huge, fast tracks? kelvinht
The problem with the car park was the single file exit with the poor 'marshalls' who weren't doing a very good job at letting cars out as they didn't appear to want to stop traffic on Saddlebow Road itself. Maybe a couple of police officers should have been employed to help. And was a poor program score chart. No where to record heat times, no where to put riders total after heat 16 and no where to add comments / tactical rides / jokers easily Oh, the meeting itself was fine, if a little dusty from time to time. Result as expected really. Not that i'm Kennett's number one fan, but he should at least have been given his second ride before being replaced. Cooky is a tad unfortute to have lost his place for the race off. Gave a reasonable account of himself. He will never develop if he isn't given a proper chance
Trees
Didn't take me long to get off the field, 10 mins perhaps, I didn't rush off as soon as the meeting was over though!
LagutaRacingFan
Same reasons as Emil, and the Laguta brothers. No.. Please don't put Emil and the Laguta brothers in the same boat as Nicholls. The Laguta brothers and Emil are angry at the lack of funding from the Russian federation and they are trying to build a better future for Team Russia. Nicholls is just moaning that the wild-card for the British GP was removed from the British final and this is his petty way at getting back at the BSPA. One's a group of national hero's trying to change the sport in Russia while the other is on his little revenge mission which has harmed his countries chances of an SWC final place.

PHILIPRISING
AS a matter of interest, Tony Olsson told me that with regard to the SWC the Swedish federation (SVEMO) pay all riders expenses including travel and hotel accommodation and the riders split the prize money ... not much of that in the past two years, however. If that was also the case with the Russian federation would imagine that messrs Sayfutindov and the Laguta riders wouldn't be drumming up excuses or, indeed, medical certificates, not to be there. Incidentally, not suggesting that Emil's current injury is a hoax because it clearly isn't but in his case it was quite convenient.
