Swc, Event Two, King's Lynn 15/7

The track wasn't diabolical at all, in fact after the first few races it was excellent considering the heat and the fact it had been practiced on in the afternoon. True it suits other countries more than us but I expect if another track applied to hold the event it might get moved.

while I agree with most that Eddie should not have been selected given his current form it was pretty poor to drop him after 1 ride then take him out again later in the meeting Cook was no better.

By comparison Cook was 400% better and battled hard in a couple of heats. The lad deserves some credit as many expected him to be totally out of his depth ......... like Kennett, which he wasn't.

Name a track that we would have beat that Danish Team on.

Belle Vue, maybe Wolves

The Danes would beat us on any track in the UK.

their best scores for Iverson Pederson and Bjerre.

Nicki hasn't rode at Poole for a couple of years.

Bjerre's last 4 visits have returned scores of 4,7,9 and 3

MJJ's rode at Poole three times scoring 8 (U21 Event) ,2 and 4 in the league

Niels is very good around Poole, 10+ in each of his last 4 visits

People still don't get it do they?

'Time to pick a track where GB have the advantage'

Righty'o we'll go to a Wolves or a Belle Vue, maybe scrape a win and then get hammered in the final or Bronze at best for the next 5 years... Don't people see the problem isn't a track or team manager? It's the fact GB are a million years behind a nation like Denmark when it comes to developing youngsters. And this lies with the BSPA! Rob Lyon a few years back was doing it right, until the BSPA put the chocs on and completely stopped it all. Now Rob has been made a co-promoter i hope they can form a serious challenge to overhaul the money grabbers with no interest in the sport with the likes of Jon Cook as something is CLEARLY wrong. Ok, so we have Robert Lambert and Adam Ellis coming through. But look at the Danes and the poles, look at the World U21 Championship lineup this year, Danes, Poles no Brits. Denmark's second team last night of Andersen, Kildemand, Madesen and Mikkel B would have probably beaten GB last night.

Something drastic needs to change if this countries Speedway ever wants to become GREAT Britain again, and it starts this winter at the very top, time for some very wealthy/greedy people to sort it out or jog on.

Wolves?

Nicki Pedersen - track specialist

Iversen - 16 this season

Bjerre - 20 this season

MJJ - 14 on his first visit

Iversen scored 10+1 from 6 rides at Wolves (12+1 including joker points) . So only a 6.67 average.

Not checked Bjerre and Jensen, but he probably made them up too.

If we had choice of track, it should have been Coventry. Only Iversen of the Danes seems to have any consistent success round there; add the fact Woffinden, Harris, (Nicholls - if he could have been persuaded to ride) + either Kennett, King or Barker know and ride the track well and I think we might have had a better chance of going straight to the final. Not sure how Craig Cooke would go round there.

Of course the multi poster makes things up!!

Bjerre got 19 NOT 20 this season (includes TR)

Pedersen i wouldn't describe as a monmore `track specialist` but loves to put one over his parent club.

Iversen you were correct on JL, 12+1 (but i would say was probably the best visitor to the Green last season)

The only one the MJJ stalker and Pathers lover got right was MJJ score of 14 - on the night the Panthers got blown away 57-35, happy days that.

Michael Jepsen Jensen 15 point maximum on his last visit.

Could someone please inform me why S Nichols is not in the team, I'm guessing its a personal choice thing.

He refused to ride for Team GB.

He should have been handed a ban by the BSPA for this treacherous act in my opinion, We are not in the position for our leading riders to stop riding for us, What sort of message does this send out to the young riders.

Also regarding the car parking I expect most other outdoor events in the UK this summer involve parking in a grass field and walking. Its not ideal but hardly unique to Lynn.

I wan't there so this is conjecture but I'd imagine the main problem was there is only one route out of the road the Norfolk Arena is on (A47), unless you are very local and know your way to the A10. It's something we in Norfolk are used to and those with motorways close by aren't.

Coventry and Eastbourne's car parks are both grass. Poole's car park is tiny (multi storey nearby would be pay to park). Wolves Isn't that big from memory. BV would be pushed to cope with a crowd that size as would Birmingham who use a supermarket car park . Lakeside last time I went resembled a building site (may well have changed it's about 10 years ago). Swindon is OK I guess. Peterborough is a fair walk.

From the PL tracks I've been too maybe only Berwick would be large enough, but hey that's grass too.

Think you should get the facts before you slag him off?

As I Said before, maybe they crapped on him like they did with Rico when he refused??
