boz
Fair to play to Worky, they really attacked the track tonight whilst we were more tentative. Harrison's pass on Ulrich was particularly good. Bach was gating superbly and both Lawson and Harrison looked good. Howarth chipped in with some important points along with Aarnio. Bears gave too many points away, Wilko fell twice in posts scoring positions whilst Ulrich never looked comfortable. Only really Skidmore and Dilger seemed to show any fight. Track was poor again though, another hour of track grading after heat two is just not good enough. A decent crowd as well, so no doubt the owners are happy with all the extra pounds. He'd to be too critical of riders when track changes every week. A few of them looked visibly unhappy, and rumours of riders nt wanting to come back because of track which is disappointing as it is the best side we have put together since we reformed. Fair play to comets tonight though, track is same for both sets of riders.
mrmiddlesbrough
The track tonite was embarrassing and we've had the cheek to call newcastles brough park ruff park, their can be no excuse for the state it was in, no thought has been made to the fans with young children who are their on a school night infact no thoughts are being made to the fans full stop, I can't believe how unprofessional our promotion is. Good win for worky tonite but you could tell they wanted it more than we did, a few our lads looked tired probably with all the guesting they've done in the last few days, can't criticise them for it as its money at the end of the day but when your pushing for silverware it is annoying.
Django
Best meeting I've been to in ages..... Eventually! We were convinced it was going to be called off but cracking effort from all the Comets tonight!
Lord Lucan
Well what an excellent win, didnt think we would get one point from Redcar on current form never mind four!! Just shows the difference it can make when everyone chips in with some points especially away from home? Need to keep going and improve our performances on other top clubs track's, who knows what could happen then!! Well done Comets, great effort!! topaz325
Great win for Worky!! Track was ....er rough at the start and was in danger of being cancelled.......but give the track staff their due after much work it was raceable and got better as the night went on. Workington riders really got stuck in the more the track dried out and thouroughly deserved the win and fair play most of the Redcar fans were gracious in defeat but come on make some noise and encourage your riders!! Some fantastic passes by Rusty and Richard tonight and finished it off with a big 1-5 in ht 15. After previous experience i declined a burger from the van....

stemoc
Well after a disastrous start mainly due to the state of the track it turned out to be a really enjoyable meeting with each and everyone of our lads putting on a good show, must say that now we have Tero back we look to be a lot more balanced side. We were slow to start but once we got dialled in we provided the winner in every race from heat 8 onwards with some great passing notably from Rusty and Richard so it was always going to be an up hill struggle for the Bears. Not forgetting some great vocal support from the traveling fans, very happy bus on the way home.
Taylorj
Fair play to the track staff to finally get the meeting on with the state of the track, thought we were getting sent home at one point. £16 and £2 for a programme very pricey, luckily was worth it Well done boys well deserved 4 points . A little tip to the bears fans, when your team get a 5-1 or a heat win a little bit of encouragement wouldn't go a miss to your riders , hardly a squeak when your lads won a heat Come on the Comets
stoneylegend
Agree with the above posts... do the redcar fans not cheer and back their lads anymore it wasnt good and far far from what have given them the reputation of one of the best supported british clubs but now you can hear tumbleweed blowing past when your riders are announced!? Take a tip from the worky fans did you hear them.....;-) Seriously i hope the supporters start being a bit more vocal. And another point does havvy senior ever stop? The guy doesnt half work hard on racenights doing all sorts and as always he was very friendly on our entry. Good racing well done the comets top of the table! And again please bears fans find your voices will ya.....

And again please bears fans find your voices will ya..... We've always been quite a reserved lot at home (well my mob has anyway) preferring to make the noise on our travels but to be fair after the way things have been with the track prep, promotion, blah blah people have just about had their fill, you only have to read the bears forum to see how ticked off everybody is. It was all prosesional 3-
