Racin Jason 72
Adam done his job as a number 7 getting the 3 pts he needs to maintain his average. There is much more to come given time and encouragement. Good to see josh bates given a go as we could have used R/R but instead another talented young Brit was used and he rode brilliantly. crazysue
Jackal - Please give Adam a chance. He is a relative new comer to the sport and he is young, very young. We need to support our riders not denigrate them when they score less than we personally expect of them (not that I expect more than 3 or 4 points anyway bbecause of his tender years and experience). Â I seem to remember a similar vendetta against another young rider in recent seasons and it was as distateful then as it is now.
2ndbendbeerhut
Now this meeting confirms EXACTLY what I have been saying nearly all season about ""the wonder boy"" Ellis !!! Getting his usual only 3 points in heat 2 (the easiest heat out of 15) and then getting naff all against very poor riders. Now Josh Bates is only 16 also and he scored 6 points from the hard no2 position and he indeed looked a REAL talent. Beating riders Compton and Raun who Ellis could not beat once and Raun only scored 1 point and guess who that was against, yes Ellis !!! Even the slow keeping it safe line of Joe Jacobs was good enough to beat Ellis in heat 14 and Ellis had gate 1 !!! So wise up you Ellis fans, he is not our asset so why bother with him at all ??? He for a young rider is only VERY average and there are much better alternatives out there as young Josh showed us all with his determined riding and getting in where it hurts. Ellis if any rider shows any aggression against him just moves out of the way like last night, pathetic !!! Â Now to the meeting itself. Glasgow I thought were a disgrace apart from good old Joe and if this premier league is supposed to be the league to be in, you can fool me. Wednesdays meeting on sky at Kings Lynn had excitement and commitment in abundance and was a great spectacle to behold and is the league to be in for me. Great to see what little excitement there was coming from Ben who's passes of Joe where brilliant and Cam getting a paid maximum shows what REAL young talent can really do. Josh Bates was fantastic and what a 16 he is with Real talent. Glasgow really showed what the premier league is all about, 2 riders retiring at end of season finishing their careers safely. Compton coming back into speedway and looks like Hawkins reluctantly and really off the pace with the slowest time of the night with his easy win in heat 14. 2 reserves who look as though they will never make it, along with Raun who looked totally outclassed except when he beat the unchallenging Ellis in heat 11. So on yet another damp, cold, windy night, the attendance was pitiful and if this continues like this in the premier league, I can only see one conclusion if we stay in this dead league if not saved by the sponsors !!! 1. There's only one disgrace here! 2 .Adam is a 3 point rider that scored 3 points last night so is doing exactly what he is employed to do. 3. Wonder if Josh Bates had of scored 0 then it would have been "he's only in the team as he is dating Louis' daughter!

In answer to your first part of posting.......I agree that all the youngsters need encouragement I have nothing against that whatsoever. But what I do disagree with is all the hype Ellis has had compared with other young GB riders like young Josh Bates and getting all the attention when its not deserving. Then family members putting their nasty abusive pennyworth in reply to honest opinions from us few realist posters on this forum. We are not all cl idolizers like most are and its only fitting we have our opinions on what appears to be wrong with matters at foxhall with no success after 15 long barren years.  ""vendetta"" ??? No never just honest realist opinions as always, Im sorry if you find this distasteful but howabout all the abuse I get ??? Is that not distasteful ???  Just to finish, I would like to make it clear to all and sundry, I do not care a toss what anyone say whatsoever its all water off a ducks (quack) back as far as Im concerned.  Ok crazysue I did not mean you about "hype" it was from the general media along with his family.  I am a general speedway fan and when in the Elite League, I have been to every track many times more than once. In 1998 never missed one meeting involving Ipswich but now in this inferior premier league whats the point, the stadiums are generally rubbish like Rye House etc. And now fuel is so expensive its simply not worth it to watch a team that has not won away this season in the league anyway. Not Correct, his current average is 3.00, the 4.13 doesn't come into effect until the 1st July so he did ride to his current average.
Jonny the spud
Point out where I've "hyped " him up Ray, I'm a realist. I said at the start of the season we'd hope to put two points on his starting average. Last night was his worst home meeting since his first match at foxhall. He had clutch problems from the second heat onwards and no one was more upset about his performance than himself. Â I wondered how long before you came on here attacking him Ray and didnt even look on here till about an hour ago and boy, you didn't disappoint. I bet you couldn't wait ! Â I've restrained from replying to your bile and have been buoyed by the many emails and tweets from real Ipswich fans telling me that you're the well known Ipswich weirdo and have been the laughing stock of foxhall for years. Â Carry on mate, fill your boots attacking Adam. PL racing, chris and anything else to do with Ipswich you're troll who gets his kicks from getting a reaction from others, whether its about speedway or sending "hugs" to a strangers 6 year old son as you did the other week. Â Me ? I like speedway in all its forms. I've raced to a high level myself on grasstrack so know that the difference between good meetings and bad meetings can be minuscule. Â I've already wasted too much of my life replying to you Ray. Get a life you sad old fool. Â Â
Pinny
Stadiums a dump like rye?! Â Ive been to ippo and rye and id say ryes stadium if a little outdated is a lot smarter than foxhall unless theyve spruced it up in the last two or so years
Paulco
Stadiums a dump like rye?! Â Ive been to ippo and rye and id say ryes stadium if a little outdated is a lot smarter than foxhall unless theyve spruced it up in the last two or so years There's not much to chose between the two , both are perfectly adequate . There is far worse in the PL than both of those

Ive been to ippo and rye and id say ryes stadium if a little outdated is a lot smarter than foxhall unless theyve spruced it up in the last two or so years They have indeed. It's an ongoing process too with more work being done throughout the winter. If you haven't been for a couple of years then you'd be surprised at the improvements made. BluPanther
Not Correct, his current average is 3.00, the 4.13 doesn't come into effect until the 1st July so he did ride to his current average. When it comes into effect is irrelevant, he has averaged 4.13 this season, so last night he rode below his REAL average. I'm sure he will look to improve on that as the season progresses, and if he can keep it above 4 that will be a job well done in his first year. 2ndbendbeerhut
Should see more improvements by the next time we race at Foxhall too. Certainly not the "Foxhole" it used to be!
Ipswich Jules
Â Â Easy easy answer.........Ben is a very exciting no1 Ive always wanted who scores lots of crucial points that win matches, whereas Ellis is just another run-of-the-mill low scoring reserve! Â Oh he's exciting now? Up until last week he was rubbish and rode boring lines according to you. Â
Gavan
Jackal you complete buffoon hope you looking at edinburgh meeting tonight. So far Max Fricke has 3 from 4 rides and Adam had 7 from 4. It's Frickes home track so can you please answer as to how such a poor rider like Adam is out scoring the second coming? Take your vile views on a young rider and get off of this forum as you clearly are deluded
crazysue
Ok crazysue I did not mean you about "hype" it was from the general media along with his family. In 1998 never missed one meeting involving Ipswich but now in this inferior premier league whats the point, the stadiums are generally rubbish like Rye House etc. And now fuel is so expensive its simply not worth it to watch a team that has not won away this season in the league anyway. Â I've seen Ipswich in 1st and 2nd tier speedway over the years home and away (first starting going to Ipswich in 1989 until 1994 and then 2003 to present -my first speedway meeting was actually at Exeter in 1988 and returned via Poole in 2002!) and to be honest, I don't really see a great deal of difference between the two...apart from the names being on the telly more. You can get good and bad races in either of those leagues, good or boring meetings in either of those leagues etc etc etc. Â I actually love watching NL and junior meetings, not only do you get to see the riders progress from being rather nervous and just starting out to becoming more confident and moving up the leagues but the racing is pretty good too. Â Alas, finances, childcare and illness have put a temporary stop on me being able to attend anything other than the Ipswich home meetings for the last year or so (and Cardiff for the last 3!) but I hope in future as the boys get older, to be able to take in more Ipswich away or Mildenhall meetings.
