Arson fire
Ash is a young lad who is still learning, he will have good days and bad days, we should support him. Sadly Millsy just doesn't look quick enough, if he gates he can block but ultimately isn't quick enough some not so nice stuff directed at him on the updates..... Just frustration probably. Baldyman
Well what can I say, that's why I like to travel to away meetings. Great team effort. Nice to meet comet 10 and the beautiful Taylorj. I thought I was the only Ipswich fan there, but obviously not. Dyer is awesome round that track for a rider of his average, can see that going up a lot if he joined the comets. As for the witches, all the team looked pretty determined and made some very good first corners, even our guest looked on the pace and scored a very important point for us later on in the meeting. Well done lads and thanks for making my journey home all that much sweeter. Edited June 30, 2013 by Baldyman
crazysue
Quite a lot of which I removed last night...great fun doing that via a mobile phone, the recent forum upgrade makes it so much more eek to do anything via a mobile. I do get annoyed when people get on a young rider's back, we all have good and bad days or go through bad patches and sometimes I think we need to be more supportive and patient, it tends to get more out of a person than when we are constantly on their backs and being nasty about them. Ok, it is not nice when your team is losing but sometimes that patience can have its rewards.
skoobie
It's about time the track was sorted out at DP, gate an go racing week in week out on a ultra slick track is not good enough!
charlieboy245
We were well beaten, you could see after ht2 where the problem was! Ash....it wasn't that long ago he was untouchable, some coaching required may be? Millsy....well.....hmmmmm same same, I understand him getting beat by the two Ippo reserves as they were better than him. Huugggeeee Concern that he gets beat by a conference rider at home, 2 meetings on the trot !! I can understand Laura sticking by her riders, though to win things you need to know when to look for a replacement, then when secured shout.....Taxi for Mills !!! Well done to Ippo, Dyer n Bach
Supersteady1984
Gotta agree if we are gonna win anything we need at least one reserve to score a few points no good having two reserves not scoring it just puts a lot of pressure on the other riders not nice to see anyone lose there spot in the the team but if we are wanting to be league champions its gotta be done! Django
So people are saying we need a change, who would people bring in? July averages have Mills on 4.28 and Morris on 3.59.
spanner47
Only just got home and seen the result, great stuff lads, you certainly made us Witches fans proud. Chris said after our last performance up there "it wont happen again", certain people scoffed at that remark, seems like our top notch Promoter was right, AGAIN!!!!!! scaramanga
Well done boys, special mention has to go to Adam, looks a real star for the future. A draw at least has to be the aim tonight. Nice to see worky fans congratulate us instead of throwing toys out of pram like most teams fans do when they have lost at home, including ours! Woooop (sorry) and ipswich riders would have got better aplause if they had done a victory parade instead of just walking out infront of the almost empty grandstand as not many in there stop after ht 15 but there is a few on the 1st and 2nd bends stop back everyweek to watch the young riders that will hopefully be the riders of tomorrow
Lord Lucan
Cant believe I'm going to say this but, Charlie Wright is banging some "big" points in at the moment, half a season in the PL, worth a shot don't think he's riding for anyone else this year but I could be wrong? As for sticking by under performing riders, how many major trophies have Comets won in the past by doing exactly that, not many and it wont get any better if we carry on doing it, sometimes you just have to make that tough decision in order to turn things round. It is right that Ashley is young and inexperienced but the fact is he "should" be improving by now in his second full season in the PL and adapting to the system? Don't know whether it's mechanical or mental problems he's suffering with but surely there is someone who can help him out, if us in the stands can see he's not as competitive as he can be then so must those around him? I would love to see the guy come back to some sort of form because we need him to, if you don't have the flexibility to cover the "bad day at the office" days then you really are in trouble, swapping like for like achieves nothing as yesterday showed so in effect that means "both" reserves need to up their game if we are to challenge for the trophies, they are plenty capable of doing it just needs to start happening sometime soon!! stoneylegend
Here we go... big wow we got beat at home (once!!) And course fans calling for changes and riders heads etc Funny how we didnt hear any of this on thursday night after we where the only team to win at redcar this year taking all 4 points.... Ellis and Heeps are no ordinary reserves it was never going to be easy. IPPO were the better team this time. Heads up comets lets come back strong
Ipswich Jules
The track was different, yet again, it's different every bloody week ! Slick the under statement nothing on the outside for passing and dry as a bone. The Witches deserved their win better team on the night and their reserves played the biggest part whereas it showed last night where we are weak. Big thanks once again to Micky Dyer, really hope he is Comets colours next season ;-) . Onwards and upwards, apart from Tero and Rusty the other lads had an off night , a bad night at the office. Oh nearly forgot to mention the horrible big fat ippo fan who was sat to the right of us in the grandstand stand who insisted to turn round to us whenever they won jeering, shaking his fists and pulling some delightful faces, one word dickhead!!!! A travelling fan that's delighted his team won? Fancy that! He should of just sat there like a statue I guess

Heads up comets lets come back strong Unfortunately for you Stoney the changes are not being called for on the strength of one home loss or one away win, Heeps and Ellis were very good last night but if your reserves cannot compete at home with better riders where does that leave us when we meet the others? Got to look at the big picture a bit more often my friend!!

SCB
Oh yes them Worky fans are the worst in the League horrible creatures. I didn't say that, in fact I wouldn't say that. I was always made to feel welcome by most Workington fans - After Edinburgh and Rye House probably the most friendly fans anywhere. It just amused me how you all turned on each other when you lost
