montie
I'm sorry to hear that Montie. Particularly loved watching Joe in the early 90's at Belle Vue & later on at Bradford - leg back, real stylist. Absolute respect for the guy, hope he stays around the sport, as the likes of Craig Cook & Richie Worrall would surely benefit from the input/experience of a guy like him i.e seen it/done it/got tshirt. Would have loved to have seen the mid 1990's Joe fly round the current Scunny track! Yes would be good to see Screen involved somewhere, maybe U21 level...will be better than that clown from Lakeside doing it anyway

At least Joe could teach riders to race fair and square.
Popular Post dhr
Well I predicted Ash to be Captain Birks again. I now predict David Howe will leave Scunthorpe before this season ends. Blatently took out his team mate two weeks running, not looking where he was going-hope he gave Ryan the 3 points money he robbed for that heat!. Your prediction will be wrong this time I am afraid. As for the incident(s) with Ryan, I obviously see it slightly different but no way did I "blatantly" take my team mate out, yes I will admit maybe I made an error of judgement by going out to the dirt which caused Ryan to run out of room but I was not intentional to cause anyone to fall it was just what I felt I needed to do to win the race. I have been on the other end of first corners like that at scunny, it's just the nature of the track. I am not happy or pleased Ryan has fallen and I will try my best next week to leave enough room but I have been scrapping for points myself, not riding great and when you ride like that you don't always see what is going on around you, everything seems a bit faster and mistakes can happen. IronScorpion
It seems everyone has their own opinions & sees things differently, it's life. As regards David/Ryan's incident, yes, it did seem a carbon copy of last week from the bend 4 stand but thats racing & wearing a helmet & goggles does not help your peripheral vision. Grieves did it in ht5 on Jorgy, Josh has done it a few times, also, Wilko in the past & you also see it in the GP's & EL racing. Sometimes their is contact, an exclusion or all four back. Also, David is a Scorpion all the way through his body & proved it supporting & helping the lads, last year, when he was injured. Give the guy a break. Also, on another topic, someone has posted that we swap David for Adam Roynon before he was snapped up by Sheffield. David can easily improve his CMA to be a top 5 rider when fully fit. Swap him! Not in a million years. Edited June 30, 2013 by IronScorpion

David No explanation needed David, I've watched you and raced against you for many years, and although you're in another league from my own capabilities, I feel safe racing against you. As you say it was an error of judgement, moved out onto the dirt, the dirt on Friday seemed more inconsistent than usual. Don't let the keyboard warriors get at you, top rider, top bloke.
proud panther
Fair play for your honest answer David. There was no suggestion on my part that your actions were deliberate. Ryan rode really well for very little reward, but you can see he is riding with more confidence. Sorry if my question gave Scunny 1 the chance to have a pop.
