Plymouth V Berwick (premier League).. 28th June @ 7.15pm

Recommended Posts

At least the M4 is open and you don't get diverted half way to Wales on your way home Shadds...

It was Bristol. Lucky I had an atlas on the back seat, so I could plot a route through the city centre, cos B4E has absolutely no sense of direction. I hope to be asleep by the time we hit the M4 this time

Berwick have won at Plymouth before, and will never have a better chance to do so again tonight.Plymouth are severely weakened by the loss of Bech and Berwick must capitilise upon that weakness.

Plymouth 44 Berwick 48.

Rider replacement for Aspegren. You sticking with that prediction?

Oh why now,I hoping our new found confidence will see us through.I take it Aspegren was hurt last night in Sweden,no announcement on the official site.

Important that our team manager gets the right riders in the right races.

All I heard announced is that was he was "under the weather"

All but Kennett can take an extra ride.

John Andersen listed in the programme as team manager, but Dennis McCleary and Dick Barrie are in the pits too

The fact that Kennet could have six rides, plus the form of wethers',Bellego, and Aspergren , I would agree with this. Hopefully Kozza's fit soon though. Is Proctor fit yet?

Berwick stronger without kozza, with the riders who can replace him

Still think so? 9+2 and a possible heat 15 to come...

The track was far too dry. Only remember a light sprinkling during the meeting. Very much gate and go. Anyone trying the wide line usually lost ground. Only the second time I've been to the place, so I couldn't say if that was a typical meeting. To cap it all off the last portion of chips was sold to the guy ahead of me in the queue!!

Kinda feel sorry for our promotion, crowds will drop off and may put us in troubled times again late season. But lets not kid ourselves our performances have not been an improvement on previous seasons. We seem to rely on our home form... season over in may some cynics said... not good enough. What are we doing to change our current lack of sucess. What are our plans for next year? Do we have any or is it all about budget control and getting the good crowds for home meetings

Agreed. There were a couple of good races but for most of the, meeting the outside didn't work at all, and gathercole in particular suffered for it. The track needed watering again after the track was graded following heat 11 but that wasn't done.

One question : why grade the track and then let the kids run on it ?

Disappointing for the fans as well no chance of a top six now early finish of season end of August.always next season

How many times have we said that though.

Disappointing result for Berwick, even without Aspegren I thought we would get at least something, but it wasnt to be.Infact this meeting pretty much sums up this season, and probably the last few seasons, where we promise so much but deliver so little.

Berwick started off so well,Bellego for example winning his 1st two rides, yet somehow we cant continue that into the second half of the meeting.Maybe just maybe some of our riders feel all to comfortable and lack the fire in their bellies that make winners.

Gate & Go track, too dry, shortage of chips. Sounds familiar, Berwick should have revelled in those conditions.
