Edinburgh Monarchs V Leicester Lions (pl) 28 June 2013

So what was the strop on the Chatzone all about when the Golden Child got excluded by the " Weegie " ref ?

Must have been Max's fault. ;)

Looks like Rab and Burney Nesbitt are at not getting much enjoyment on the Glasgow threads, these days

Never mind, us magnanimous Monarchs fans, don't begrudge you a of bit fun to cheer you up through these sad times :P:D

Having looked at the rules now, I'm sure they were interpreted wrongly last night. Your comments are exactly right. I'm sure 17.2.5 is intended to be used when a rider has ONLY EL and PL averages from the previous season, ie doesn't yet have a current season's average. Of course that is not spelt out.

18.3.1 is clear cut and much more sensible.

As it happens the outcome wasn't much affected but it needs to be clarified right away.

If it had been r/r/ for Karlsson, the two r/r rides by North & Nieminen, which yielded 1 pt, would have been allotted to the reserves, who may well have scored a few more on the night.

not the best racing i have ever seen but there again at leicester we are pretty used to that.i felt perhaps edinburgh were a little lucky and we were a little unlucky the 5-0 that went in edinburgh's favor should of been rerun and heat 14 doolan snapping a chain while leading how unlucky was that but that's the way it goes sometimes all six lads give it their best and what a confidence boost for branford top scoring as well with 9 paid 11 i think we deserved at least a point from the meeting but it wasn't to be.

It was because max and Derek where right on the wheel of Branford going into turn 3 and Branford pulled a bit of a locker causing max to straighten up to avoid him and graversen then fell trying to avoid max.

Thanks for the explanation Mr Blobby

Not overly happy about the performance last night though don't think too much was down to the riders. The track was similar to the Newcastle and Redcar meetings so thought we would have learned our lesson. However have to say the result DEFINITELY flattered us and was very impressed with Adam Ellis and Robert Branford. I have seen some criticism about Adam on here and have to say would be happy to have him in blue and gold if we had a vacancy, the same goes for Robert and the progression he has made since he guested for us a couple of times is great to see, well done lads and keep it up (but not against the Monarchs please, lol)

Really pleased to see Claus put in a tremendous performance on Friday.

Leicester were looking lively for a while then a combination of bad luck for them and a strong finish by the Monarchs giving the home men a win.

Ellis and Branford looked good for the Lions with others chipping in with decent scores but the strong performances of Claus and Cookie in heats 13 and 15 making a big difference to the final score.
