Newcastle V Plymouth Premier League June 23rd 2013, 6.30pm

Recommended Posts

Late start for this thread. Plymouth come to toon with a much stronger line-up and should provide the home team with plenty to think about. It will be interesting to see how they do at Berwick tonight.

Unfortunately the weather may have the last word, with light rain forecast all day.

One meeting that will take place is at Cramlington Sports Centre, when Northumbria take on Hull in Northern Cycle Speedway meetings for Division 1 and 2 points. Racing begins at 2.00. Pop along if you can. Free entry and parking.

Know this is a long shot but would it not be sensible/possible to run the meeting tomorrow? Plymouth up here anyway cause they were at Berwick last night. Or maybe i'm just being a bit too optimistic lol

Dont think Newcastle would be able to get the stadium at such short notice, they do have a certain amount of Monday meetings, but they wouldve been agreed with the owners at the start of the season.

Hi Abbott, I think CH958 was asking where the Cycle Speedway Track in Cramlington is. I will ask "jack of diamonds" for directions and put them on his website ( www.newcastlecyclespeedway.co.uk ) and add the directions to the end of our Historically Speaking column in the programme

It is behind Cramlington Learning Village (the High School when I went).

Enter Cramlington from the south and head towards the town centre. It is difficult to miss and the cycle speedway actually had a sign out be the front gate yesterday. I'd have gone but for Hurricane Sandy hitting at the start time.
