New Rider For Sheffield

Recommended Posts

Where are people getting their information from, I cannot find any information about Sheffield wanting to sign Lewis Bridger, and I cannot find anything that shows new averages from the 1st August.

One bit of news that does appear to be fact is Andre Compton has been recalled to the Sheffield side,

So, the rider considered to replace Simon Stead was Lewis Bridger but his average didn't fit by a very small margin.. is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Maybe now a possibility as Andre is back !!

The move has come about due to Sheffield wishing to recall Andre Compton to their side and thus ending the 28 day day short term contract we had with the rider following his return to the sport following an absence of over 2 seasons. We wish to thank Andre for his efforts during his short spell at the club and wish him well for the remainder of this season and the future – indeed he’ll be back at Ashfield racing against us in a month’s time!

So Andre is in ... Who is out ??

Hopefully Richard Hall out and a new number 1 - Lewis Bridger fits??

Interesting I check the figures last night when the rumour about North going to Glasgow and Andre coming back to Sheffield, and you are correct we could bring in Lewis for Richard Hall.

Not too sure how I feel about that possible move I like Lewis, but he is not known for been a big track specialist, but would give us a bit of strength on the away tracks and we would have Andre at reserve.

Spin King, How would we get Andre at reserve ??

Im same dont particurly like Lewis Bridger but would be worth a gamble, I dont think we would have anything to lose for the last few meetings..

Just seen Sheffield have denied we have recalled Andre but are in talks

Re Bridger, Hoggy says it in an interview with GRT media - listened to it on facebook. As for Andre, Sheffield have confirmed they are in talks only at this stage.

bit of a bizarre one that if its true, hall's form has dipped a bit of late, due to injuries obviously. however look at how he started the season, he was in blistering form. would have preferred haines to be dropped IMO, but thats just my opinion

just heard at tonights meeting hall has gone

Looks like this is correct, Machin's notes in tonights programme were critical of Hall having "alledgely injured himself when unloading his van after last Thursdays meeting".

In the pits after the meeting tonight it appears Machin sacked Hall and then became embroiled in argument with Halls father and Joel Parsons. There was a lot of finger wagging from Machin and crutch banging from Hall senior.

Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

By the way Hoggy did a good job of staying out of the way!

Also must add, why Lewis Bridger? Did really well tonight 4 plus a bonus point! Ok he was up against decent opposition, but as a number 1 he will be. He never looked comfortable on the track, well to be honest apart from Eastbourne I've never seen him look comfortable any where.

Oh and didn't he do well in Prague for team GB.

Sorry but just can't see him doing a job for the Tigers as a number one. He's got plenty of spirit and ambition, but not at Owlerton for me thanks.

sad to see Richard go if that's the end of a long association between him and neil, he has a lot of critics on here but at the end of the day he is pure entertainment around owlerton and that is what we go for...to be entertained, good luck in your next position Richard. p.s. I am also a big fan of andre would have loved to have seen them in the side together.

So its now official Andre for Hall... Get in one happy bunny that the promotion have finally seen sense and got rid of Hall...

Looking at the new averages i believe we now have 9.97 points to play with for a new number one... Doubling up riders are limited as a number of clubs are already at there maximum if 3..

A few who would fit are - Lewis Bridger, Patrick Hougghard, Lukas Dryml, Cameron Woodward ( Infact All Eastbourne team except Bjarne)

I feel we need a number one who will gel and bond and hopefully add some experience to help the younger inexperienced riders with set ups etc..
