manchesterpaul
@MP, I would assume that Joonas have Finnish parents, there are allot of people in this region of Sweden who are 1st or 2nd generation of Finnish immigrants, so its quite likely that he have a dual citizenship as well. That would explain a lot i certainly thought it was a Finnish sounding name.
Bavarian
Joonas is Finnish through and through, being born to Finnish parents then living in Sweden. You wouldn't class Mark Loram as Maltese, would You? In his case, Mark was born to British parents then living in Malta.

He has Finnish parents and Finnish and Swedish passports. If the federations approve, he can change his license year to year. Iris said something about first golf medal (I just found this thread now), if I've said something like that, it has had to include words track racing too. f-s-p
I honestly didn't know he played golf, let alone got a medal The Finnish federation celebrated it's 90th? birthday last year and hosted a gala that had most of the Finnish motorcycling world champs there. We actually have the most WC titles in the world when copared to population or something like that. Anyway, this years Finnish final in speedway is 59th, I believe thats more the in GB. Ghostwalker
The U21 qualification event were supposed to have been held yesterday at Nässjö however it had to be abandoned after 8 heats due to track problems. New date and venue is today July 28th at the Vetlanda track. http://www.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/Nyheter/JSM-kvaletflyttat/ Edited July 28, 2013 by Ghostwalker
manchesterpaul
Was wondering if Premier Sports might consider showing this meeting but with it being staged on a Friday they'll likely have some sort of ball sports on? Also, we'd need two sets of eyes as the Danish Championship is being staged on the same evening!

I have had no response so could I ask that anybody who would like to watch it sends an email to info@coolsport.tv to ask if they can stream it.The Danish final is on at the same time but I`m sure with 2 windows open we can watch both. TBH, I would predict that the Danish championship will be more exciting and have better racing then the Swedish championship.
