Mr Blobby
so was young Fricke on the fiddle early doors to get down to reserve?? His scores have gone up fourfold since. Even for a settling in period, the transformation is remarkable.... A very good prospect indeed. He was beginning to score in the main body of the team a few weeks before he went to reserve just needed the first month or so to get himself set up and settled before he started banging in the points. I don't think it was the fact that the management wanted him at reserve when you had Tabaka there at the time. looks like it was the track to blame for the past 2 weeks after all. Not at all the track wasn't great but it's the same for both sides and Redcar and Newcastle were both better than us on the night. Django
Dreadful performance from us tonight, only fight came from Rusty, Rich and Ash. Rene must get better away from home soon, it's costing us dear. For Edinburgh I thought Fricke was outstanding, comes across as a level headed young man too. Cook was the best rider on show by far however his goading of Rich in heat 15 was appalling, very disrespectful. Waving at him once he passed him is no way to conduct yourself, learn to win like a man Craig or people will soon lose respect for you

Thats what i took it as much like Stoney,Powell and Peter Carr used to do when racing each other. Mind you did see Theo also waving at Lawson once he passed him in an earlier race down the backstraight. When you are winning Grand Prix's and in the same league as Darcy Ward you can then maybe have a pop at fellow riders until then grow up you goon Obviously the same big headed arrogant prick that was once known at Workington :P :P
Olga
Crikey give Cookie a break. Lawson and Cookie go way back (both Whitehaven born, both local lads, both highly competitive) ... it's banter / box office / personality. What do we want? ... every rider to be the same / give boring interviews etc etc Cookie like Stoney has an X factor that people want to see. Riders get pumped up ... Sheesh Edited June 21, 2013 by Olga
Al Stewart
I bet they will be almost climatic, over coming yet another great top team, given all their problems that they are overcoming. My money is on Scotland 1342, then either Nutz or Al Stewart. If the Monarchs were a religion(are they not) they would claim a miracle every week. What is this tripe? For a start, what is the word climatic doing in there? Other than that it isn't worth a response. No wonder the BSF has a rock-bottom reputation.

cyclone
so was young Fricke on the fiddle early doors to get down to reserve?? His scores have gone up fourfold since. Even for a settling in period, the transformation is remarkable.... A very good prospect indeed. As it is only League fixtures (4 home, 4 away) which count in changing from an Assessed GSA (i.e. 5.00) to a GSA based on actual results, Max's recent improved scoring has taken place in the recent League and KO Cup fixtures. His League scores (excluding bp)so far are :- Home : vs Scunthorpe 2 (4) vs Plymouth 1 (4) vs Redcar 12 (6) vs Workington 14 (7) Away: vs Scunthorpe 4 (4) vs Plymouth 6 (4) vs Somerset 10 (5) I make that 49 pts from 34 starts which results in a rounded down average of 5.76. So he is actually above his Assessed Average of 5.00 at the moment. Weather permitting, he will complete his fourth away league match today at Worky. Even a zero return from 4 rides today would still produce a GSA of 5.15. I bet they will be almost climatic, over coming yet another great top team, given all their problems that they are overcoming. It's just the senile witterings of the Whitley Bay Windbag As he is incapable of recognising Darlington from Middlesbrough , or spelling Sudden Sam's surname as Ermolenko, make allowances for his bitter hurt at his beloved Diamonds being dumped out the KO Cup by The Mighty Monarchs at Brough Park on Sunday
SCB
Even a zero return from 4 rides today would still produce a GSA of 5.15. Will be a blow if Tabaka is out for too long then as his average is only 5.11 so will be guests for him.

Jozsef will be on 5.29 for July. However he is expected back either next Friday or the Friday after. As always, injuries will play an important part in how things pan out especially towards the time of the Playoffs.

Joe at reserve again for a month should be good for monarchs. If he is still injured then a 5.29 guest could be useful.

Lord Lucan
Another dreadful performance from the Comets at Armadale, wonder just how long it's going to be before we realise that Edinburgh, away, isnt just a fixture to get rid of before moving on to the next match and will, at some point, actually make an effort there? Looking at the return's it was a fairly moderate effort with Rusty being the standout performer, we cant expect to be taken seriously as title contenders, or contenders for anything for that matter, when teams, like Edinburgh, are nearly always going to be there or there about's, and if we are going to just turn up knowing we are not going to perform even before we get there, how will we ever win anything? Reading some of the prior posts on this it was asked, were E,boro just good or the Comets just bad, well, the result speaks for itself, more a case of the latter I would say, you can only beat what's in front of you hence the good all round return's for the Monarch's and, disappointing as it may be for us, I do think some promoter's give us more credit than we at times deserve as being credible opposition, a bit of research on past performances would stop that especially at Armadale!! We really must start to get rid of this negative attitude that we have there because sooner rather than later, Edinburgh will become the monkey we cant shake off when the pots are up for grabs, must do better!!!! Anyways on to the speedway & less of the bitter keyboard commado brigade (before you reply Jamlad- unlike some on here i would have no problem having a reasoned well honed debate in person about the pish you posted above ) This was a pretty good match & Monarchs were clearly up for it from the off after our uncharacteristic later heat capitulation against the Bears & our awful start against the Diamonds.Everyone in blue & gold chipped in in what was a fantastic team performance. On the other side side of the pits, riders i expected to do much better for the Comets.. e.g Kyle Howarth & Rene Bach were pretty awful tbh.Richard Lawson was slightly better than his usual Armadale performances, and to a lesser extent Rusty and Ash never gave up and fought hard for their points.Cookies Heat 15 pass of Lawson was class and reminded myself and a few of the blue & gold faithful of the skillfull, forceful passing manoeuvres of a certain Peter Carr at his best, and i cant praise him any higher than that! It's been a joy to watch Cookie progress the way he has in a relatively short space of time & he is reaping the rewards of all the hard punishing training he puts in to his speedway. Some riders would do well to show such dedication..keep it going Marra Edited June 22, 2013 by Young51

SCOTLAND1314
As has been stated earlier was this a poor performance by Worky or a good Monarchs display, yes probably a bit of both. The track looked grippy all over which helped produce some decent racing with the best of the bunch Cookie against Lawson in heat 15. For the away team Rusty had a decent return and Lawson was ok and if he'd hit the front through the first turn more often he could have scored more as he seems to ride the track quite well. Of the rest I was expecting a bit more from Kyle and Ashley but it might have just been a bad day at the office for them. Really not sure what has happened to Rene Bach I hope he can get back to his best soon. Chris Mills seemed to have lots of bike issues so I guess his night was hampered accordingly. The Blue and Gold Cookie had another good day, topped off with a cracker of a pass on Lawson in heat 15. Solid performances from Derek and Theo. Hats off to Theo from picking himself up from a fall in his second race to bounce back for a good return. Good to see James Sarjeant chipping in with a nice return as well, hopefully he's enjoyed his time with the Monarchs. The lad tries hard so it was nice to see him earning a few quid. Really great to see Claus scoring his best Armadale return of the season. More of the same big chap. Similarly nice to see young Max making steady progress each week. Some of his first turns were very useful indeed. Only 2 points for r/r for Tabaka, so it could have been an even bigger win for The Blue and Gold.
