havenagotahope
Think we may again be found short in the reserve department tonight but thats what happens with a top line number 1. Lets hope Paul and Nicki can nail it but who knows. Ben Barker should be by all accounts untouchable but you have to admire Plymouth's ambition to bring in a rider like Mikkel Bech Jensen he will soon be there asset and will undoubtedly generate an income for them. No disrespect to Edward Kennett and he will I am sure score many points in the Bandits colours but he is never going to be a Bandit next year. There are young up and coming riders that could have been brought in instead riders that are hungry for success I am sure if Bech had been offered the chance of riding Berwick for a few week prior to his World under 21 final there, he might have thought this is a chance to good to miss, there are a few others in that line up that may also think like that. Agree with lots that the promotion have achieved over the last couple of years but sometimes think the vision of team building is a little short there are enough meetings left to gain averages for next year just a thought

Bandits4eva
There's thinking positively and also being realistic! Plymouth ain't a team of mugs... They have riders who tend to do well at Berwick and we ain't been in sparkling form! My positivity will be taking in the southern tours and whatever home matches I can make it to from now on! :-p

Just started to rain so should have water on the track anyway.

ancient mariner
I disagree with the fact it will be comfortable! I've seen Plymouth beat Rye twice... They've taken points at Sheffield and have riders who can cause problems for us... Bech should be one to keep an eye on.. I think they'll get a point personally but hope I'm wrong! Â As Devils supporters we aren't used to hearing such good things said about the team. It's all rather unnerving! Â I think the difference will be that the Bandits will have Ben Barker and the Devils won't have Ty Procter (with all due respect to Ricky Wells who as a guest has already done good things for the Devils this season). Â I'll settle for a point and no injuries.
Catch Me If You Can
I find this post absolutely disparaging and with this flippant post obviously means screm has no recent account of how Plymouth have performed of late and the changes the devils have made. As it's been quite rightly pointed out the devils are a completely different proposition now and recent results reflect this! With the post made I find it incredible it was even wrote in the first place! I think Screm is being highly optimistic! Any sort of Berwick win would be acceptable and even a 46-44 as Plymouth of 2013 are no Plymouth 2012!
bandits 13
47-43 for me to Berwick

No disparagey meant, after another away defeat last Thursday Im hoping Berwick will be determined to bounce back to winning ways, and having Ben Barker at No1 will help no end giving his performance a couple of saturdays ago.Secondly another home defeat will signal the end of any chance of a reasonable PL finish.  If Im wrong, and it has been known on occasion,I`ll be delighted to come on here and sing the praises of the Plymouth team.

bigeddiechek
I can see where Screm is coming from, some of our riders might just want to bounce back from Thursday night. If everyone fires, then most teams will struggle against us: if... Â If we don't, then Plymouth are certainly capable of a victory. Â Ahhhh, the unpredictability of speedway! BRITISHSPEEDPOWER
Going for a draw, reckon Plymouth have the edge at reserve. Chris schramm can be great at Berwick
ancient mariner
A couple of light showers overnight in Berwick, right now its bright and dry, chance of a shower in the 1st half of the day but nothing to worry about.Forecast for this afternoon is much better, with sunshine. Â A querk in the average rule book sees Ben Barker back at Shielfield as guest, not a bad thing as he was brilliant a couple of weeks ago.Should be a comfortable home win for Berwick. Â Berwick 54 Plymouth 38. Â Not so wide of the mark then. Â What many failed to note was that the Devils 'revival' was against the 3 teams at the bottom of the league. BRITISHSPEEDPOWER
Great racing on a great track. Barker was incredible, the Berwick track is made for him. Can't fault any Berwick riders tonight, Paul Starke's last ride determination to hit the front was impressive after a few poor rides. The entertainment value has gone up ten fold from the start of the season. Glasgow gonna be tough now without Barrett and possibly Kozza Edited June 22, 2013 by BRITISHSPEEDPOWER
screm
Overall a decent meeting with some good passing, mostly from Berwick riders, and most of them overtaking the disapointing Mark Lemon, sadly it looks like Marks better days are behind him.Barker was once again excellent, and his 3rd to 1st in Ht13 was unbelieveable, stars of the Berwick team though was Bellego and maximum man Matthew Wethers, sadly Bellego missed out on his max after coming 3rd in Ht15.Impressive performance from Aspegren,a very frustrating rider is our Robin,on his night, like tonight he looks a class act,but there have been meetings this season where Apregren looks uninterested, and quite frankly poor.So its more of the same as tonight please Robin. Â No one outstanding rider for Plymouth,Mikkel Bech came with a big reputation but failed to live up to that, hopefully tonight will have be a good learning curve for the Under-21 in a couple of months. What I said about Mark Lemon earlier, well you can say the same about Chris Schramm, looks like his best days are long gone. Â Star of the night though has to be the Plymouth team manager, who for best reason to himself put Cory Gathercole out in Ht10 as a tactical ride against Berwicks best two,Barker and Bellego and was promptly 5-1d,when any fool couldve seen that in the next race,Ht11,the Plymouth pair would be out against just one home rider,Paul Starke, who up to that point hadnt had the best of nights.

bigeddiechek
Wethers once again magnificent, and a well deserved maximum!  Barker = stunning.  Bellegeo also very unlucky not to get a max, he flew round in heat 1.  Starke did well to get a paid win in heat 14 after a punishing schedule.  Aspegren looking much more like the rider we know he can be.  Kozza clearly not himself.  Barrett looked his usual solid self until the reckless Schramm forced him to take avasive action. Barrett did very well not to run over the top of Schramm.  Plymouth were a bit disappointing to be honest, and Wells was a poor guest. Bech looks to be a good prospect though.  Very entertaining meeting, and a gutsy performance from the Bandits.  And, I'll say it again.  Matty Wethers doing the business for us yet again   Oh, and yes the Plymouth team manager lived up to his namesake!
