Jayne
Buxton complete their home Trophy matches today against Stoke. New signing Liam Carr makes his debut for the Hitmen (full story www.buxtonhitmen.co). Weather is dry and sunny at the moment, rain stopped around 8am so fingers crossed. There is a big stock car meeting today so be aware of extra traffic around the area.
trophykid
I'm hoping Stoke's recent home form can stay intact, for the short journey to Hi-Edge. I also reckon Liam Carr has a point to prove today. Narrow Stoke win here I think.

Craftman
Buxton to win by 5 , should be an excellent meeting Wrong , 6 points . Lam Carr proved to be an inspired signing for Buxton ,well done to him . Surprised Luke Priests showing was so poor considering he knows he track so well . Stoke really do need to look at their number 2 position , it really is their Achilles heal at the moment
SCB
Can someone confirm Tony Atkin has retired? Or not as the case may be. Thanks.
Main Man
Tony has retired. Small mention in speedway star this week with an interview with him in the next edition. Great guy , an inspiration as a captain ...would make a great team manager

Baldy
Well done to Young Liam, he was a revelation for the Potters last year and ignoring the points he scored today ( I know you can't really) he should of been the first name on the Stoke team sheet this year. This league is about many things, including fielding a young, competitive and improving side; Liam would of ticked all the boxes on that score. Hope he goes from strength to strength. Any news on the lads who have taken a tumble today?. Never nice to see lads going over onto the track. I would like to say a big thank you to Tony for the many years of service and enjoyment that he has given to the sport, a wonderful example to young lads setting out; similar to Dean Felton in that as the time rolled on their enthusiasm did not wane. Whilst I'm at it; what a pleasant surprise that mister Payne has been to Stoke followers.

To be honest lots of folks could not believe Stoke did not use young Carr this season
greyhoundp
To be honest lots of folks could not believe Stoke did not use young Carr this season I for one am surprised NO one has used young Liam up until now.
