Bagpuss
Assuming Nicholls sticks to his guns then Woffinden Harris Cook plus one from King, Barker and Worrall.

Mark
Woffinden Harris Cook Worrall at Lynn Wont beat the Danes but good chance of beating the rest with Woofy on form Then King for Worrall at Marketa in run off Edited June 18, 2013 by marky
Wildcat Willie
I always think that the team should be based around the top four in the EL averages and then tinkered with according to who's on form, who's not injured and the track where the meeting is. No point putting a small track specialist in at Lynn I would think.
SCB
I always think that the team should be based around the top four in the EL averages and then tinkered with according to who's on form, who's not injured and the track where the meeting is. No point putting a small track specialist in at Lynn I would think. So Woffy, Kennett, King, Cook in that order. Followed by Stead Harris and Worrall. Kennett sucks at big tracks and in the SWC while Worrall scored an 18 point maximum at Lynn this week - the only Brit other than Woffy to score an EL max in 2013. Harris is the 4th best rider at Lynn over the last 3 seasons and Danny King doesn't have a bad record there. Kennett is below Stead and Worrall. Jackal
Yes go for youth without any doubt totally fed up of the "old" brigade doing nothing, lets move forward. So my team would be..... 1. Woffinden 2. Cook 3. Worrell 4. Barker
Fromafar
Autry can't gate at PL level.what chance would he have at World level. At least Cook and Worral can gate.I wouldn't have any of them in the Team.
Daniel Smith
If I was Midlo I'd be busting a gut to get Nicholls to change his mind. He's coming back into some sort of form right at the right time. 1, Chris Harris 2, Tai Woffinden 3, Craig Cook 4, Scott Nicholls / Lewis Bridger That would be my 4. If Nicholls isn't going to ride, I'd put my neck on the line and pick Lewis Bridger. There is something about him I like as a rider. His average doesn't show as a World beater but I think he's ready. He's the total opposite to Kennett, King & Barker who totally crack under pressure. This season, in Bridger I've seen a rider who cracks against the lesser riders but picks it up against the big boys. Also spent serious money on engines going with genuine engine tuners. I want him to be given a go & made it be known to him that this is his last chance to crack it. I'd even say the same to Harris to be honest Kennett & King have had plenty / to many chances. If Bridger fails this year, then it's time to feed in the next set of youngsters. I'd set up test matches for the below 7 GB riders against a Danish - Australia - Swedish - Polish teams in 2014:- Craig Cook - Richie Worrall - Lewis Bridger - Ben Barker (Needs attitude transplant though) - Josh Auty - Richard Lawson - Ashley Birks Behind them as injury cover I'd have:- Kyle Howarth - Ashley Morris - Lewis Kerr Then come 2015 we'll see the emergence of a genuine talent to equal Woffinden in Robert Lambert (17 then) and the like of:- Lewis Rose - Lewis Blackbird - Stefan Nielsen (If he'd pick GB, I'm not sure) - Steve Worrall - Tom Perry - Adam Ellis - Joe Jacobs __________________________________________________________________________________ I honestly believe we'll see a change in cycle from 2016 and TeamGB will have an emergence of talent and become competitive in Europe again. I genuinely believe that. BUT, there is one major factor that needs challenging. The BSPA & the associated promoters. We have real, and I mean REAL World class potential talent ready to go but they need help. Hence why I believe International challenge matches are the way forward, Home & Away but the BSPA has to be the main backer.
T.N.T.
I ould admit defeat now as reaching the final is the best they can hope for and select a team of Richie Worrall, Craig Cook, Lewis Bridger and Daniel King with Eddie Kennett next in line. Tai Woffinden should be looked after, so let him rest for the rest of the GP's and get fully fit.
HenryW
Then when we go to the Final bring in Auty and Worrall and Cook if Cook want to ride for the UK. Have I missed something? Has there ever been any suggestion that Craig Cook wouldn't want to race for the UK?
spin king
I would leave out Bomber.I would not beg Scott Nicholls back. Lets do what the Danes did last season and drop most of the old guard. For me has to be Tai Craig Cook Richie Worrall and ny one from these three King/ Barker/ Kennett. Certainly would not go with Auty, his inability to gate will find him wanting at that level. mdmc82
Although we have up and coming talent, alot of them are not ready at this stage. Agree Scotty is still one of the best we have, as he shows when up against the other brits in british final. Wish he would change his mind. If not then maybe: Harris Woffy Worrall (at Kings Lynn) Cook or King Bridger or Kennett to be in Squad incase needed Feel Auty is no where near ready & Roynon needs to recover from injury first
BluPanther
WOFFY.. HARRIS.. KING.. WORRALL for the KL meeting and take it from there.
Daniel Smith
There's no way I'd pick Worrall. Even as a Stars fan that would be a step to far right now. Let's see what he can dish out in the Stars main body first & could be considered in 2014 when Belle Vue becomes the World Cup track & Worrall's home track too. WOFFY.. HARRIS.. KING.. WORRALL for the KL meeting and take it from there. Kings Lynn might be as far as it goes for Team GB this year, little or no chance of winning the meeting IMO 3rd place will be as good as it gets. Team GB Harris Woffinden Cook Barker Id include Nicholls instead of Barker but as we know he has no interest in racing for Team GB.
diamond_ren
Well first off were obviously not going to win it. So why persist with the likes of Harris, King and Steads, Barker? Neither of the latter will get any better than they are now and just some of Harris scores in the elite this year is one of the reasons I wouldn't pick him. Obviously Nicholls has said he wont be riding and personally im not to fussed certainly wouldn't be banging on his door begging for him to re-consider. Undecided on Bridger personally apart from Woffinden I think he is the next best brit potential wise anyway if he could get decent machinery and get his head sorted he could have a decent future in the sport. Some on here will disagree but that's what this forums about opinion. Cook and Worrall.... Well Cook deserves his place improved no end the last season and a half and Worrall has been scoring decent points in the Premier and obviously got a max for Kings Lynn the other night. Plus Worrall can gate so he gives himself half a chance. So why not go with these riders? Basically write this year off give the young lads experience and target next year..... Cant do any worse than we have the last few years. So my team would be 1) Woffy 2) Cook 3) Worrall 4) Bridger. But more than likely team will be 1) Woffy 2) Harris 3) Kennett 4) Nicholls( wouldn't be surprised in the least to see Nicholls back)

He's beaten the likes of Holder, Lindgren, Nicholls and even showed Niels a clean pair of heels at times. Of course he's ready. If you can gate you've got a heads up on everyone, and he can gate. Give him and Cook a go, with Tai and probably Bomber just for his previous Kings Lynn heroics.
Fozzie4388
The Team GB Squad for the world cup has been announced as follows Woffinden, Harris, Kennett, King, Bridger, Cook, Worrall, Auty, Barker Howarth Not that they'll even ride but i think i would have had Ashley Birks in the Squad before Howarth, I guess with Kyle's Poole connections thats why Middlo has give Kyle the nod. Middlo also says Woffinden and Harris pick themselves so its basicly deciding 2 out of the other 8.
