Sheffield V Plymouth 13/6

Recommended Posts

An interesting match up, if Sheffield (minus Albin) continue from last week we should be ok, any drop in that performance could see us come off second best again. Here's hoping that Koppe's and Haines' upturn in fortunes wasnt just a flash in the pan

Mod Note: PLEASE remember and put meeting dates in headings. Thanks

Been fine all morning, just had a shower in town, but looks like its passing over now and think the forecast is good for later. Don't think there will be any problems based on what we've had so far.

Done at some risk to yourself, but much appreciated.

I am in touch with some lads coming up from Plymouth and will let them know.

For all those who took Odsal Boy's weather forecast seriously the other week :icon_smile_clown: , I have an update on current conditions for you.

Its sunny in Halifax.

:P

Very close tonight. Koppe and Haines perform, Sheffield win. Otherwise, Plymouth do.

Just been on the BBC weather site for Sheffield 6 (where Owlerton is) - giving sunny periods from 6pm to 9pm when there might be light rain showers. Get it on. As long as there are no hold ups everything should be AOK!

I'm about 5 miles from track we've got cloud with sunny intervals now. Did have an horrendous thunder storm about 1.30 pm this afters, but web site says track ok - I believe it and I will be there!

Had a big downpour in town about two ish but came through Hillsborough about 4:30 and it was dry. The sun is out now and it's looking good.

I predict a close one tonight. If Joe and Damien ride like last week we could win but the key men for me are Schrammy and Jake Anderson. If they outscore our reserves, we could be in a spot of bother.

Think you could be right if Chris Schramm rides like he did in the British Semi final. Haven't really seen Jake Anderson, but if Jake Knight rides like he did last week, he won't be scoring many. Hoggy said he was having problems with his engine, hope it's sorted for tonight! He'll have to take one of Facu's rides - won't he? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Some strange moves by the team manager tonight. The people I was stood with were all complaining about the way Koppe and Knight were used. Not sure if things were going on in the pits that we were unaware of but it did seem odd to give Jake five rides.
