northyorksbear
Potentially a cracking meeting, big problem could be weather, North East under yellow weather warning for rain during afternoon. Approx 2 miles from track 11.25am sky very dark and heavy rain at present Fingers crossed everyone
boz
Agree, could be a cracking meeting this. I'm guessing we will be running r/r for Matej? On a good run of form at the moment and would expect us to get a win but feel we will need a decent margin to take to Scunny tomorrow. Wilko should again be trump card at reserve and hopefully Max will be starting to ride himself back fit and into the points. Â Heavy rain in MBoro town centre at the moment, however from forecasts I have seen should clear up during afternoon so fingers crossed. mrmiddlesbrough
Mr M and his part time weather forecasting comes in to play today, all will be grand later as we shouldn't get much more rain (if any) after 5pm

RedcarRacer
doubt it he just dont like riding the redcar track. Â He was hurt last night during Czech test match with Poland, leg and rib injuries - will be R/R for both meetings, at least a week out if not longer. vivabossman
Always sad to hear about riders being injured but it deffo makes Redcar stronger. Lets use the R/R to our advantage for once just like Newcastle have done for the past 3 months. With Matej being 2nd in our averages anyone can take his rides. lucifer sam
Great comeback by Scunny in final few races.  22-38 after Heat 10 to 40-50 final scoreline, despite David Howe crashing out in Heat 9.  Scorpions to win 51-39 tomorrow please  All the best Rob

EC Rides Again
Gutsy rear-guard action from the Scorpions to keep the tie alive for tomorrow night. Get well soon David. Has anyone got Josh Gracjzonek's mobile number? (Probably easier to get Richard Hall on speed-dial !)
boz
Seems strange to say this after a win, but quite disappointed with that. No disrespect to scunny, but after losing Howe and already 16 down the second leg should have been a foregone conclusion. Â No doubt the track played its part (never seen such big blue grooves), but towards the end scunny just seemed more up for it. Â For the bears, Ulrich looked untouchable for four heats although faded. Skidmore and dyer both rode well alongside summers who had to work very hard for his points as his gating was shocking. Really disappointed with Wilko though, good win in first ride but then nothing, including the compulsory fall. Â For scunny, firstly best wishes to David Howe. Looked a very awkward tumble, would imagine collarbone/shoulder injury. Led well by Auty and birks grew into the meeting. MPT was hit and miss, looked very quick most of the meeting but not sure how he stayed on bike in second ride. Douglas struggled but blackbird battled hard and possibly deserved more points. Â Think the act Scunthorpe celebrated like they won after heat 15 shows they fancy there chances in second leg. Should be close.

RedcarRacer
Have to agree, really disappointing in the end - we should have hit 60 but I think we got complacent. Track was ok but dusty but given weather dont think they could have done much else with it. Â Ostergaard look great early on - whilst Summers and Dyer were good but not great out the gate. Wilkinson was terrible after good opening ride. Â Auty came good whilst Birks and Palm Toft improved - was really impressed with Blackbird, good speed and was unlucky - deserved more points. Sets up a cracker tomoz.
scunny1
Injuries continue to wreck our season. The only positives Josh and Ash showing some form and Michael improving. Local weather tomorrow looks pretty poor and can see my speedway fix being rained off
Fozzie4388
Grajczonek's riding for Plymouth tomorrow. Â Sheffield at Scunny next Friday Does this rule out Hall (hopefully he'll have set off for the 2nd round of World Longtrack). Ricky Wells (if not ruled out by 8 day rule) and Kozza Smith (Who Rob seems to be a fan of) are other options.
eric i
Magnus Karlsson could be an option
