Ommer Mon
Well it's nearly here. The night when religion takes over from Sport!! Wolves v Heathens. Here's one for Heathens fans. Who would we like to see in the Wolves team to race us on 1 July. Jason Garrity and Stefan Nielsen as a starting point?
berniev123
I know this will not happen after Birmingham, Redcar, Berwick & Sheffield BUT it would be nice to face a team that is built to NL 40 points limit and not 50 to 56 as is happening this year or against a Bulls team of 7 ringers riding way above their NL averages! Any ways, the Dudley/Wolves match is back for the Black Country to rave over. Hope we get a return on a Tuesday night so we can have a proper front cover....the one my avatar picture is taken from and if past history is to be repeated, that all 14 riders will end the night in one piece and not in the local A&E has that is what happened in the past since 1962! Ommer Mon
Well the speculation is over and Wolves have named a very strong team including Joe Haines, Rob Branford, James Sarjeant, Lewis Rose, Tom Woolley, Hayden Sims and TOM PERRY. What a cheek - using our own rider against us. I'm sure we won't be booing Tom but the rest are sure to get the traditional Heathens reception! I wonder what colours Porky will be sporting on the night? Can't wait!
Soul Crew
Clever promotion, and as expected Heathens fans are falling over with excitement, will there actually be any Wolves fans there?
Beowulf
It's a Monday night, I'll be there as will my friends.
THE DEAN MACHINE
its a shame that wolves didnt use any of their own riders as this would of been more credible but any meeting where the spoons are beat by a wolves team is worth watching
Mike.Butler
be interesting to see the squabble for the favourite places on the terraces by both sets of fans not used to sharing.....think it will feel more like a tuesday with a monday select side on track. greyhoundp
I am pretty sure Wolves fans will be out numbered by the away supporters, < as usual> Deanno i usually agree with yah, but theres only ONE Team in the Black Country and it aint the Gold and Black except on the football field. Whilst i am forever greatful to the men from Monmore giving us the opportunity to see a Team on Track again, it ends there. It would be nice to know who the replacements are for Tom and Lewis, but i can only see an away win here...
New Science
Clever promotion, and as expected Heathens fans are falling over with excitement, will there actually be any Wolves fans there? Can't see many Wolves fans being there as its not exactly a Wolves team its just a National league select.A clever money spinner for the Wolves promotion, packing the place with Heathens fans on a Wolves race night on the back of a nostalgia trip. Was lucky to see many Wolves,Cradley fixtures over the years, there was nothing like them.I prefer to remember them as they were rather than this pale imitation .
Heathen1984
Damien koppe in for rose and perry deciding tomorrow if he rides, wolves av more prem riders in this team than nl and a points limit of about 50. Strange really. At least stick to the limit

magnificentseven
Such a shame that the memorial meeting for Gary has been reduced to this. I might have considered attending if there had been some Wolves riders in the Wolves team but as there aren't I shall be giving it a miss. Seems a bit of a joke describing it as a Wolves team with the riders that have been named. Wolfie EDIT : just read on the official site that it will be R/R for Perry if he is unfit to ride - makes the meeting even more of a mockery. According to The Heathens site, this is for the Radio WM Trophy, The Gary Peterson Trophy is to follow.

magnificentseven
reduced to something very few Wolves fans were bothered to attend.Still maybe some might turn up at the hastily arranged second leg next tuesday Wolves fans were never going to turn up in great numbers to watch a team that didn't include any Wolves riders. The match was purely a profiteering ploy on the promotion's part as they knew a large Cradley contingemt would turn up - and the same has to be said regarding next Tuesday's meeting. Personally I think the meeting was an insult to the memory of Gary Peterson who was much loved by the Wolves fans and his memory deserves much better than this. whowasthatberntpersson
Great crowd which was 90% Heathens (maybe more), CVS rubbing his hands together. Some pretty decent racing, I was impressed with the improvement shown by James Sargent and Max Clegg riding very maturely too. The result was pretty much academic really but it was a good show. Fourentee
An OK night in which Perry's injury clearly had a big bearing on the outcome. In passing, can't say I was wildly enthusiastic about Paul Starke's repeated wheelies in heat 12 when heading the combined might of Tom Woolley and Hayden Sims, both riders at a somewhat early stage in their careers. A bit of fun to gee up the crowd, with no harm meant? Perhaps. To me, as a bit of a boring old fart, it came across as disrespectful. Back to the slippers and the tartan rug! Boffy
I am disgusted that the promotion have devalued the Gary Peterson Trophy .......Me and many other Wolves fans spent years asking CVS for some kind of recognition for Gary.....Initially a trophy was handed out to the Wolves rider who gained the most bonus points during the season. Then an Individual meeting was set up for young riders (which was very fitting)..... Now it is reduced to a `Rider of the night` second-half event at a Cradley love-in !!! ....Shameful....
