Rye House V Sheffield Pl 15th June

Recommended Posts

5 pts per meeting for how many meetings ? 3 assuming you are talking mear. RR rides taken by guests who are rarely reliable and JB who has only just come back from injury himself and runs out of steam before the end of a meeting supported by an extra ride for Nelson who looked far from classy at somerset and rye last week. No RR comes off once maybe but could you go to Ipswich with any confidence using it? For me no.

3 meetings where he was poor and clearly uninterested. A horses for courses number one guest will be more than happy to have 6 races. Then any of the other riders can take a ride each too. I'm not saying its a good thing, I'm saying its better than an uninterested Mear and it's a realistic assessment.

Totally agree Ben, using a horses for courses guest at no.1 - with a possible 6 rides is certainly the way to cover for Olly as a temporary measure - just hope he isn't out for too long. R/R for Mear should be ok with everyone eligible to take a ride, so not disastrous. Jason Garrity cannot come back soon enough!!!!

Can't think of a number one who could cover for Olly within the budget. You're always taking a risk with guests, but I can't see that they have a choice. Sometimes you're gonna be struggling if there are a few PL meetings on at the same time and choices are limited

There's no doubt we'll be granted a facility, he's withholding his services.

Has the 28 day facility been granted yet?

…. And just a question as I honestly don’t know the answer, Mear has quit as opposed to “withholding his services” so does that make a difference?

Sure we were allowed r/r when Frampton quit the day before a meeting.

That font is almost impossible to read on a phone.

No idea to be honest, it should be pretty cut and dried though.

Yeah I'd say so, he's declared in the side so Silver & Sampford want him to ride, as he's having a sabbatical then he's withholding his services.
