The match was not run , the referee thought track unsuitable for inexperienced riders .

Thank you for this clarification. I heard there was a dispute over the composition of the King's Lynn side? Obviously that was not the case?

I think it was cancelled due to a time curfew

 

Now we have three versions of the postponement reason. As the old saying goes "you pays yer money and takes yer choice!"

Given that the main meeting didn't finish until 9:45, with a 10pm curfew, make your own conclusion.

Most MDL meetings are finished in 15 minutes .

 

But why would you risk it? The meetings start at 7, so are normally done by 9, which means that the MDL meeting has an hour, if needed. Normally takes around 20 minutes. Unfortunately, if the meeting ends at 9:45, by the time you have had the results of heat 15 etc, you are looking at closer to 9:50. One fall in the MDL meeting and that's that, it has to be abandoned. We seem to have a relatively good relationship with the council and local residents, why risk it?
