Edinburgh Monarchs V Newcastle Diamonds 14 June 2013 - Knock Out Cup

Recommended Posts

This match has all the makings of being an absolute belter.

Both teams after a good start to the season have slipped into a bit of a (hopefully) mini slump in form.

Let's hope for dry weather a big crowd and some good speedway.. but no dust. ;-)

Having attended last Fri there did not seem much dust flying about unless it was blowing into the Pits end and the track was lightly watered 3 -4 times which IMO is how every track should be. maintained during a meeting .have to agree should be a good match on Fri . With Theo back should be a Monarchs win though.

Dust reference was more of a bit of fun directed towards our west coast pals. I think they had dust issues on Sunday ...

Doc and his crew do a great job to keep the track in good shape no matter the weather. Long may that continue.

Bit harsh on the Diamonds to say one draw is a slump in form, or the Monarchs for that matter after a defeat when missing their no 2 rider.

Agree that they should be two cracking matches as Edinburgh v Newcastle matches generally are.

True on reflection, 'dip' may have been a better word.

They should be cracking matches though.

In your case fair enough, but Mr Blobby was complaining on Sat about the track being slick and dusty,I was responding more to these comments although it was a different thread.I agree Doc always produces the best track in the cicumstances that dictate.
