Somerset Cases Rebels V Edinburgh 11/06

Recommended Posts

Sky do love a bit of Somerset, how many times is that now? Come on give some of the others a chance.

f

Did you watch mate, that is why Sky like to come to the OTA,brilliant exciting match which had everything.Good effort by the monarchs to sneak the win. Nick and Josh both had off nights and I`m afraid Tom is beginning to worry me a bit now.For the Monarchs good all round effort which you need in an away fixture when the home side are not firing on all cylinders.Cookie was great in heat 15, not many get past Doyley once he is in front,

Agree Rosco seemed anti Edinburgh but with Morris riding for Somerset hes going to be.

What was wrong with Morris, really not on it.

Congratulations to both teams on a great meeting. The track was best i have seen this year so well done Somerset.

Great win for Edinburgh, everybody stepped up and Cook in heat 15 was amazing

Ive seen a few matches on sky at somerset and thought it was pretty good. But wow, (Edinburgh fan) quite amazing racing tonight and even for the neutral for a lower league, ive never seen so much real passing and racing.

If only some tracks would prepare them like these.

Take a bow Somerset, you have a gem of a track and those pesky elite league clubs. Take note, and stick some dirt down. Get british speedway back where it belongs.

There was hardly any dirt the track was slick .

.........Fantastic advert for PL racing :approve:......Saw more passes and proper 'racing' tonight than in a whole season of watching the EL yawnfest! :P
And there ladies & gentlemen is a major reason why the sport is struggling. After a superb advert on national television, who wouldn't want the Oak Tree as their home track, the PL v EL points scoring exercise is at full throttle. Christ on a bike, both leagues have got their merits & their defects. The only difference between the 2 is the first 30 yards, after that it's just 4 blokes on a bike.

Wonderful speedway,so much better than the Elite League

Put Somerset in the EL and meetings at the OTA would be just as good. It's the track responsible for the racing rather than the league.

What about Newmans rolling start in heat 8? Swings and roundabouts mate.

Kyle was sitting to far back from the tapes, he rectified that in the re- run.

Cracking meeting, Somerset seem to be very inconsistent in certain departments, I too am a bit worried about Tom as he should of kicked on from last season but seems to of gone backwards a bit, in saying that Edinburgh came to do a job and that's what they did. Very impressed with the Monarchs but feel Somerset lost the meeting by sleeping on the job.

So it's back to the inferior EL tomorrow

In my opinion the referee got the heat 15 call right as Tabaka was certainly not in front of Josh as he thought he was when he collided with him. Heat 11, well what did Josh do wrong other than race? Sneddon rolled the dice took a dive and won. That call was the turning point for me. You win some you lose some so Well Done to the Monarchs on getting the win.

Great meeting as always from the Oak Tree Arena which looked superb again but people who only see the PL on TV must think the home team never wins!

great meeting I echo other comments made more premier matches please sky Berwick Scunthorpe and now Somerset good speedway on well prepared tracks lets hope we don't see a ploughed field tomorrow at Poole as it was last time sky visited well done the Monarchs rode very well as for the Rebels its time that the management start looking at Tom he don't seem on the pace having strong reserves wins meetings as proved tonight

Good meeting great racing by both sets of riders couple of falls for ref to call both racing incidents Give both sets of fans something to debate

The track looks good big bends for riders to attack

Max fricke looks a very good prospect

Craig cook needs to watch his starts with the slight rolling the refs will get wise to him and start watching him more closely

A good nights speedway hopefully tomorrow s will be just as good

Rubbish Orion, you need to pay a visit to Specsavers. There was PLENTY of GOOD dirt on that track....
