Somerset Cases Rebels V Edinburgh 11/06

Recommended Posts

Now let me see, save myself £20 admission, no fuel costs, no food or drink costs, stay in the warm and potentially dry, no chances with the track after the rain, a far better view of the racing! How's that for starters!

What rubbish - it has been sunny since about 10 o'clock all day, so I'd say the track will be in very good condition.

Anyway, the covers would of been on when it was raining ;)

I wish Rosco was somewhere other than Somerset, the commentary is spoiling a good meeting..

Couldn't agree more, he only just speaks English

How did Cook get away with that flyer?

Bet Rosco didn't notice it!!

Ive seen a few matches on sky at somerset and thought it was pretty good. But wow, (Edinburgh fan) quite amazing racing tonight and even for the neutral for a lower league, ive never seen so much real passing and racing.

If only some tracks would prepare them like these.

Take a bow Somerset, you have a gem of a track and those pesky elite league clubs. Take note, and stick some dirt down. Get british speedway back where it belongs.

Whst dirt? There isn't any! Everyone has described it as slick. Somerset is good because it has long sweeping bends and the straights are so far apart.

Excellent meeting with a bit of everything, in particular some very good racing. Great ride by Cook in heat 15, he was the class act of the night for me so fitting that he sewed things up. Fricke looks an excellent prospect and I was also very impressed with Tabaka, great to watch.

What a great speedway meeting, full credit to both teams. Congratulations to the Monarchs!! ;)

Fantastic advert for PL racing :approve:

Had a wee laugh when Pearson said he hoped the EL meeting tomorrow night would be just as exciting as tonights meeting... - Saw more passes and proper 'racing' tonight than in a whole season of watching the EL yawnfest! :P

Rosco ruined a great meeting. He could not be any more anti Edinburgh if he tried. He is an awful pundit. Could lace kelvin Tattums kelvars as a pundit. Talked total drivel.

Condones jumping the start then in a 50/50 call accuses sneddon of cheating...calls Doyle unbeatable. Jason Doyle is good, but rosco showed he knew nothing about the pl as he was unaware of cooks form. I love kelvin as a pundit. Rosco never again. Embarrassing

On the plus side great win. Somerset is still the best race track in the uk for me should host a World Cup meeting.

Well that was an awful result for the Rebels. 8 points up at one point and the Rebels should have buried Edinbourgh alive, but some sloppy riding and gating presented the meeting to Edinbourgh which should not have happened, but fair play to Edinbourgh for taking advantage of the situation.

That has got to stop, if the Rebels want to be in the shake up, riders must ride to the line and not doze off mid race,

But that said, great meeting good alround stadium presentation very well prepared track by Ez, ablely assisted by the rain this morning.

And to finish off the track presentation which ive mentioned before, they need a gate that shuts from left to right at the pitgate entrance decked out in a white kickboard and green netting, then you would be the pride of the PL. Then there will be only one thing missing!!!!!!!

Footnote

Referee's really need to start picking up on Craig Cooks rolling at the start.....

What about Newmans rolling start in heat 8? Swings and roundabouts mate.
