Paulco
So a fortnight after our home humiliation at the hands of " the beast from the east " , the meetings don't get any easier for our misfiring Tigers . Since the Edinburgh match we've lost the services of James Wright , who has seemingly fell out of love with the sport and has looked a shadow of his former self , and we've lost Joey Ringwood to injury which happened in that crash with Mitchell Davey . So it's Scunthorpe's impressive Ashley Birks guesting for Wright , and r/r for Ringwood . But we'll have to raise our game dramatically to get anywhere near the Comets . Couple of ex-Tigers in the Comets' ranks in the shape of Rusty Harrison , Chris Mills . And of course there's his holiness , the Son of God Richard Lawson who also is joint track record holder . Really is about time he took up his birthright . How Workington cope without their early season hero , Micky Dyer , will tell us if they can challenge for a play off place , but going by the way Glasgow have seemed to have lost their way , they must be strong favourites to claim all 4 points on offer tomorrow . Teams for Sunday - Glasgow 1Joe Screen 2 r/r for Joey Ringwood 3 Ashley Birks (guest ) 4 Henning Bager 5 James Grieves 6 Harley Horwood 7 Joe Jacobs Workington 1 Son of God 2 r/r for Terrible Aarnio 3 Rusty Harrison 4 Kyle Howarth 5 Rene Bach 6 Ashley Morris 7 Chris Mills With a favourable weather forecast , we should see quite a few clad in blue and white on the back straight tomorrow . And on all known form they should be the ones celebrating come 5 o clock .

Once the early morning haze burns away , it will be a lovely afternoon . Obviously the Comets will fancy their chances of all 4 points , and all recent form suggests that . But our boys will be fired up to end this terrible run we're on . C'mon the stripes .

I think the announcement is more about what sort of meeting we're having next week , but it could be " bring a friend "

Gazc
Well for the first time i found something else to spend my money on rather than go to the expected defeat at the hands off the Comets i know i should really have made the effort and gone but to be honest i will not pay £16 to watch defeat after defeat , and i know some will say that it is all about the speedway but it is no fun watching your team being rolled over week after week and the same excuses being made about how much they are hurting as they are fans also .  Off course that may be the case but at least they get in for nothing to watch the customary defeat , what happens now who knows but i am sure there will be more than me finding alternative entertainment if this is allowed to continue rant over .
glasgowmicktiger
Never went today either when saw it was two r/r that made my mind up. Read the updates apart from the delays and harley seems it was a decent match.
Lioness
not sure I would agree with that glasgowmicktiger, for whatever reason (and I know the guys were having to contend with a broken bowser) I thought despite having obvious quality riders on show it was mostly from the gate and there were a few well spread heats  get well soon Harley
mervjankefanclub
I did go today and wished I hadn't. Nothing to do with the defeat, getting beaten doesn't bother me, but more to do with the fayre on offer and the delays and clouds of dust didn't help either. I just want to see great exciting speedway and I haven't done for a long time now. And if anyone fancies a pop, don't bother. Everyone is entitled to their opinions on what they have just paid to watch and I am of the opinion that my hard earned jimmies would be best spent in the boozer of a Sunday afternoon .....it has been part of my life for 37 years, but I am afraid I am just about done with speedway these days. I keep going back and tell myself to give it one more shot, but the majority of the time I always come away unfulfilled
albyhere
I went today but left after Harley's crash. What was it? Heat 6 or 7 ? Why leave ? An old old song now. We were treated to half an hour of waiting till the medics were finished doing whatever it is they were doing with Harley, only to be told we'd need then to wait till another ambulance turned up to take him to hospital to see what damage was done. So we're talking 40/45 minutes......of nothing. I walked out and I might not go back again. Â I've had a go at this before and got hammered with ridiculous comments like, 'are you saying we don't treat injured riders ?' Or 'how would you like to lie dying etc etc ?' Bollocks. I maintain there is NO need for such lengthy delays. Are we, the people paying for this sport, to be treated with such disdain that nobody cares what we do, while some doctor/medic sits with an injured rider in an ambulance with a broken finger or whatever? Picture this. In football, you will have a resident doctor at the game. ONE doctor. When he's needed, the game does NOT stop till he figures out what's what with the player. It carries on. Besides, can anyone see 20/30,000 people sitting twiddling their thumbs for 40 odd minutes doing nothing? Aye right. But we're meant to just stand about looking as if we're really not bothered. Well guess what...we are. Â Stuff this elf'n'safety, political correctness cobblers and let the racing continue. If by some fluke another injury happens, is it really beyond the capability of the medics to deal with it? This could kill the sport dead if it's not dealt with.
Paulco
Seems i'm in the minority , i enjoyed it today . Okay we were well beat by a better team , but i thought there was some decent racing . Obviously nobody was going to get near Son of God , he was a class apart . It really is now about time he stopped messing about down in Cumbria and took up his birthright . Kyle Howarth was also very impressive , overall the Comets just had too much in the tank for us . But you cant knock the effort we showed , and had we not lost Harley in heat 6 , then who knows what might have happened as he looked much better up to that point - hope the lad isn't too badly hurt . But this isn't a one season project by the new promotion , despite our current turmoils i think we are headed in the right direction . There's something magical when you see those racebibs with a big Tiger on the front that makes you feel glad you were born where you were . We'll come through this spell , of that i have no doubt . But tonight well done Workington , you were worthy winners today and your travelling fans were wonderful ambassadors for your club .
