RedcarRacer
Great win for the boys and an unexpected one, a real bonus. Disappointed with Skiddy whilst Max should be scoring more than that at Edinburgh - but that aside some terrific displays - even Matty claiming a couple of wins and Wilkinson, well he did more than his job - but really chuffed for Ulrich, starting to actually score like a number one. racers and royals
Give the Bears credit for overturning a 12 point deficit. Don't go for excuses about track conditions - they're the same for both sides, or Pijper's absence on Longtrack - was the FIM schedule not known before the Speedway season commenced ? The positive for Monarchs was Max Fricke's best home performance, including first ever wins (x 3). As previously mentioned, a concern is Cook's apparent ongoing discomfort with a shoulder, and given his busy racing schedule, will this affect his overall fitness to maintain the high standard he has set this season ? IMO Monarchs have a decent team, but are unlikely to be serious title challengers. Even with Pijper returning next week, I would not expect us to overcome Newcastle(the best PL team at the moment) in KOC ties next weekend. 2nd round of World Longtrack championship is next Saturday(15th ) in Forus Norway.-Signing on for that meeting is until 2pm local time. SCOTLAND1314
What a dramatic night with the underdog hanging in there and somehow producing an astonishing win... but enough about the mighty Scotland v Croatia... Well done to Redcar who took their chance after hanging onto Edinburgh earlier in the match. Bad night at the office from Claus but hopefully he'll turn this around soon. Every cloud and all that... well the silver lining for the Blue and Gold was the performance of young Max Fricke who excelled last night.
Fromafar
First off all would like to congratulate redcar on their victory tonight against a miss firing monarchs side. You could say Redcar came to the dale at the right time with Davey injured and R/R for Theo but hey ho thats the way it goes. Looked like the boys in blue & gold had the match wrapped up being 12 points up after 10 heats then came along the the T.R where we lost an 8 -1 form then on it all went a bit wrong. The track played a big part in the monarchs downfall tonight as it was very slick and dusty due to the weather where there was only one pass all night (which was cook in heat 1). Gating was crucial tonight and the bears made the starts when it mattered. Only getting 7 points from R/R was a big let down when Theo would have scored double figures. But the main reason that we lost tonight was Mr Vissing what he was up to tonight was a mystery. Was on a comfortable 5 - 1 in heat 4 until he decided he was going to try and go round Max and fell off resulting in a 3 - 3 instead of a 5 - 1. His next 4 rides he looked looked liked he had never seen the place before why he got given heat 15 is a bit of a strange one as he had scored one point up to then. Special mention to Max Fricke he was fantastic to watch tonight fast, smooth and stylish and well deserved his 12+1 form his 5 rides. Where was all the dust, track was the same for both Teams they watered it regular as the meeting progressed it certainly wasn't dusty. Fromafar
Did the Redcar riders play any part in the victory? No , the sun shining and Scotland winning at football were the main cause of the defeat

Tsunami
Fantastic away win for the Bears. I doubt anybody thought that would happen, especially with the Monarchs getting a facility when not entitled to one. Bandit59
I am glad i decided to go to this one as a neutral it was an exciting meeting with some good old fashioned team riding especially from Wilco in the 8 1and by Dyer in one race.If only Vissing had done that with Tabaka and not tried to pass him .Did not think it was dusty loved Cookies blast from bend two in heat 15 from third to first then tried to slow race down for Vissing to no avail even bought my ticket for next week against Newcastle if its as good as this meeting was will be well chuffed.Wonder how Tully will do on his return ? A bad night for the Monarchs on Friday, but i always had a nagging doubt about having to use the R/R facility for Theo and so it proved.A couple of riders having a sub par night (in this case Wee Jo Tabaka & Claus Vissing) caught up with us in the end,but i think that you're downplaying the capabilities of our team to be contenders Cyclone.I still think we'll be there or thereabouts at the business end of the season despite this blip. All credit to Redcar for hanging in there when Monarchs looked like comfortable winners. The 8-1 heat victory seemed to give them the belief they could pull off a victory.Heat 15 was tricky one to call though personally i would have went for Captain Deeks rather than Claus who really needs to up his game i feel.Someone pointed out his highest score at the Dale is 8+2 which is not whats expected from a good heat leader at this level.Big plus was young Max Fricke who seems to get better & better For Redcar.. It's the best i've seen Ulrich Ostergaard at Armadale for a good while & his forceful riding earned him the points he deserved.Carl Wilkinson after a sticky start rode well, and could prove to be a very handy reserve. As for the KO cup match with Newcastle..bring it on! As Ipswich's draw at Rough yesterday proved,it's a very open PL title chase and anyone can beat anyone else (well..apart from Glasgow ..a wee joke there my West Coast brethren ) So what i would say is dinnae write the Monarchs off yet Mr C or anyone else who thinks we can't do it..there's still a way to go y'know Edited June 10, 2013 by Young51

Lioness
yet again the BSPA cant even get a change right. This is the second time that Redcar have benefited from the BSPA being to lazy to recalculate the scores properly (not having a dig at Redcar, not their fault) There should have been no facility for Pijper but if you recalculate the scores with the r/r scores removed it should be 41-47 as Redcar would not have been eligible to use a TR in heat 11. Took 2 minutes to work that out (well 'see it' realy, working out implies more effort!) - wonder why the BSPA dont?
