Haza
Echo some of the post meeting comments. We too left before the restart. Taking the pi$$ doubling the car park charge, making mugs out of us again. Glad I took my own food and drink (not enough in the circumstances), so I didn't have to give them any more of my hard earned after I'd entered the stadium. From my position on the first bend it looked like Cook came in very hard on Bellego, unsettled him and forcing him to ride into Tungate. Obviously some will have had a different view of it. It was quite depressing being among the Bandits fans after the crash, plenty of tears and Bellegos girlfriend right in front of me looking dazed and confused. Not a nice place to be. I saw her chatting to him on the phone with a smile on her face, so perhaps he's not too badly injured. Too many breaks to make it really entertaining, but it's always harder for me to enjoy a meeting as a neutral. Hope the three injured riders aren't too badly hurt. why was there a need for 20min break between heat 8 and 9 ? Wasn't as if they did track prep one line for the final right on the inside track staff was clueless as what to do with the track .

Seen a photo of Ashworths rear tyre. It's shredded!!
Haza
I thought the event was outstanding, The racing certainly made up for the delays and Cooky's move was a similar move that I saw Michael Jepsen Jensen pull last season although their was a huge difference in the standard of riders. I for one hope the fours is back next year at Peterborough and I'm sure the majority of the crowd feel the same way. Hope Tungate and Bellego are ok... I personally think Cook was responsible for the crash. think you watched the meeting with your rose tinted glasses on yet again . Or maybe you wasn't even there today ?? I thought I got full value for money, I think the ref was slightly laxed but I am a big fan of Barbara as she always tries to provide equality and equal opportunities for every single rider in our sport. LagutaRacingFan
Spoke to Mick Horton at the meeting and he seemed to enjoy it.. Some of you people need to start watching meetings purely and just enjoy the racing! it was a nice long day with nice sunny weather.

Shadders
ok I didn't no that about the tyres . All in all a very disappointing day and meeting . Doesn't matter if the racing is good or not, 5+ hours to complete a speedway meeting would test anyone's patience.

2ndbendbeerhut
From Ipswich twitter: @ipswichspeedway: Rohan Tungate is ok! Now on his way home! One tough cookie! Beat me to it! Great news for the Witches (and Pirates), certainly seems to be made of rubber! Hope more good news comes regarding Howarth and Bellego Don't think Tungate's bike will be doing many more laps though, another one to add to the collection! KAM
Another one here who left before the end. Very annoyed after having paid £20 admission, £4 for a programme and £2 to park the car. Do they think we're made of money. Fuel isn't cheap either! I love the fours but todays was trouble from start to finish.
BluPanther
The referee dictates the presentation of a meeting, not track staff. Injuries and tyre issues caused unusual delays today, that's unfortunate. Well done to the MONARCHS, and a speedy recovery to the injured boys... bigcatdiary
Bit of a long shot but has anybody found a pair of spectacles and a hearing aid? Their was a pair of spectacles found, they did announce it, try the email and tel contacts for Peterborough.

Their was a pair of spectacles found, they did announce it, try the email and tel contacts for Peterborough. While you're at it can you ask why they doubled the car park charge?
Super Blue
Well , just got home to Ipswich at least 2 1/2 hrs later than expected and what a marathon that was ! I know there were plenty of incidents and accidents but 5 1/2hrs was a rediculous time to take to complete this meeting . Putting the tapes up 10 mins before the start and not even testing them properly was where the problems began and it went downhill from then on . Delays with paramedics when the meeting should have had better cover . I will certainly think twice before going back there for a 4tt . On the subject of the overall result I would like to congratulate the Monarchs on their win but I'm afraid I can't . Cook was without doubt 100% the cause of the heat 11 crash and should have been excluded from the rerun ! Not his fault he was in the rerun but that stupid woman Horley , god she's useless ! Without fail , every meeting she referees she makes a howler and it always seems to effect results ! This time Ipswich coming out the losers but I suppose what comes around goes around and at some point in the next millennia she might get a decision right . Ah well , at least it was nice weather . Glad Tungates got nothing broken let's hope Bellego is OK as well ! Edited July 14, 2013 by Super Blue
