OdsalBoy
I cant wait for this meeting, go on Sheffield. I feel good times lay ahead. Lets get behind the boys and the management. Simon Stead: Simon will be thrilled to be back - theres no doubt about it. Simon will want to "take the bull by the horns" as they say. Our talismanic skipper will lead the team by example, may be a little rusty but Im sure Simon has got a few points up his sleeve. Joe Haines: Riding at the number 2 position might just give Joe the shot of confidence he needs. I feel young Joe will be rejuvinated, excited and ready to get amongst the points tomorrow. I hope Joe goes for it. Looking at the Berwick lineup I can see a few riders that Joe is more than capable of beating on home shale. Ricky Wells: Riding at number 3 wont phase Ricky at all, he's in good attractive form at the moment and he can more than hold his own in this position. Ricky i feel will more than put in a handy shift tomorrow. Oppostion riders will find him tough to break down. He's my man to watch tomorrow. Richard Hall: Richard will be feeling a bit better after a run out last week. Richard on Owlerton shale is hard to beat, especially now his mate Steady is back in the pits, handing out useful pointers. Richard to be in the mix tomorrow. Facundo Albin: New test, new challenge, new times for Albin. Ive got a gut feeling here that he is going to relish this heat leader role and suprise a few people. I really rate Albin and I hope he gets a good amount of points tomorrow - he deserves it. Go Facu ! Thrill ! Damien Koppe: I watched a youtube clip of Damo's heat 2 win last week, and he looked the part. Quick out of the gate, held his own in the first corner bunch, got his head down and smashed in a win. Time could be the tonic for Damien, all the best to him, hope he just goes for it tomorrow and i wish him many points. Jake Knight: Jake will give it his all and continue to make steady but solid progress. Hope that hasnt offended anyone. Al Stewart
I'd like to think that the Sheffield announcer will apologise to Odsalboy this week for his disgraceful outburst last week.

Hey ho, its all blown over now, and i can guarantee there will be no more pre meeting weather reports from Leeds :-). Go Tigers !
Cue Ball
I'd like to think that the Sheffield announcer will apologise to Odsalboy this week for his disgraceful outburst last week. To be fair if somebody started putting people off coming to my business when times were hard, I'd probably make a comment about it. Think it's time that this incident, that has been blown out of all proportion, should be put to bed.
Fromafar
True, but Kennett has ridden for Swindon and guested for other EL clubs,Aspegren & Barrett will have picked up meetings for their overseas clubs,Starke has ridden in the NL for Dudley, for those and the others,as professional racers Id expect them to get the neccessary track time to keep them reasonably sharp during this slight break in the season. Berwick will never have a better chance of an away win. While I am hoping for something out of the meeting ,I disagree about your thought regarding our chance ,Sheffield is a difficult track for away Teams .Sheffield do look weak though.Joe Haines is the key man IMO if he has a good meeting it might swing it. Fromafar
Something? Come on Fromafar where is that ingrained winning mentality that the mighties are renowned for? My confidence took a knock when we failed to win at Glasgow earlier in the season.Edward will have get his finger out if the Team are to get results on the road, which he should be able to do. Damien did work hard last week and looked the part in both heat 2 and 14 although was robbed on the line. The you tube video shows the guy has the skills and was riding very well. bandits 13
Think this will be a close meeting, was at sheffield vs leicester last week as a stop off on the way down to Cardiff and wasn't all that impressed with the Sheffield team, I think it might be a 45-45 or something along those lines

Sheffield are coming off the back of three home defeats, and havent won a home meeting since April 18th.If Berwick have any thoughts of climbing up the PL,then an away at Sheffield is a must IMO.We`ve already lost points at home this season so points on the rode would make up for that. Im sure the Berwick promotion will be targeting this meeting as a potential win.
Boobs
I'd like to think that the Sheffield announcer will apologise to Odsalboy this week for his disgraceful outburst last week. Mate, if someone came on here and posted one of your precious Armadale extravaganzas was going to be off because the weather was bad, you'd explode! But it's done and dusted, and a lesson has been learned by the poster, as we have seen above. Although I think the announcer was in the right, no promotion wants to have even one customer put off by a virtual assurance a meeting isn't going to happen.

Although I think the announcer was in the right, no promotion wants to have even one customer put off by a virtual assurance a meeting isn't going to happen. I must admit my take on this was who the hell listens to a weather report from someone 30 miles away from the stadium ? Completely bizarre. I can well understand the promotions feelings if they were swamped by people ringing up or some didn't attend but publicly abusing a paying customer simply isn't on (and comments of the kind he made are anything but unusual). The point is the message could have been put across with the same force and meaning without naming Odsal Boy or insulting him. Own goal, I'd say. Stan Duppcomic
He wasn't a paying customer. He has said himself, was watching on Updates and makes his assessment of Damien's Heat 2 performance on the basis of a Youtube clip. Spot on Shaun. Mooose
The sun is shining, it's lovely and warm with absolutely no chance of rain. Therefore, there are no excuses not to get yourselves to Owlerton tonight for a feast of speedway. Could be a close one.
tigerowl
Good luck to the boys tonight. However, the Star quotes our team manager as having thought long and hard about moving Facu to number 5 as he will be alongside Richard Hall who is a great team rider. What a great idea. Except that Richard rides at number 4 and Facu lines up with the reserves in three races and Steady in his last race. Numbers 4 and 5 haven't ridden together since god knows when. Good grief... Cant understand the move to put Albin at five,no disrespect to the lad but No5 he aint, leaves Sheffield very weak in the races where Albin and the reserves are paired together, and again in Ht13 where the pressure will be on Simon Stead big time.
