Ipswich Vs Newcastle Thursday 6th June 7.30pm

Recommended Posts

Been waiting for this one for a few weeks, should be a right ding dong battle! Any team news from up Newcastle way? Full strength?

Full strength? Try overstrength due to a debatable r/r facility and the lag in Worralls

average! Favourites to win.

Id certainly take a Witches 46-44 right now.

Oh I never realised Richie broke his leg last year just to keep his average down? You seem to forget only being allowed a replacement up to 5 points last year cost us the league.

This match really will show us if we are serious title contenders or not. Newcastle to me look like the strongest team in the league at the moment, we must beat them over 2 legs to win the league if we get that far, so this will see if we could or not, and this is with an inform morten and cam on our side

No1 for the keep net!

Perhaps shouldve added the Lindgren not meeting the d/u rules as well!

R/R

Christian

Lindgren

Richie

Lewis

Steve

and I hope R/R gets a max. :P

Just feeling a bit mischeivious tonight!

In reality of I have no problem with the make up of the Diamonds. Every team wouldve loved to have been in the position re Worralls average and no one can blame you for trying to make the most of it.

Out of interest has a time limit been set for r/r and when is expected that Tully may be fit?

An away point would make the 5 hour drive home more bearable.

An away win (and all 4 points), would make the 5 hour drive seem like an hour!!

It's another test for the Diamonds to see how good we really are (we've passed most others..... so far).

When Richie got injured last year he was top man on about 8.5, but we could only replace him with his then average of about 4.0 +

This year the tables have turned, and we have a top heatleader for the average of about 5.64.

Tully is very near to coming back, watch this space.

Don't think the Diamonds are the strongest team in the League. I think Edinburgh look the team to beat to me although they may be tested a little more now with Tabaka out of a reserve birth. As for this match much will depend on how Lewis rides. He's been fantastic so far but Ipswich look strong at reserve and Steve is struggling and might find this a hard place to regain form. Also a bit concerned about Lindgren's recent meetings, he seems to have gone off the boil. Tough one for the Diamonds. After that amazing display at Berwick I will never again write them off but I'd be well happy with a point here.

Always good to see a rider on the mend and back to racing whatever team they represent.

Good luck to Andrew (although not too much for Thurs!!)
