International Best Pairs - 8th June (eurosport)

Recommended Posts

Poland and Russia meet in the last heat of the main body of the meeting and will likely be the decider as to who goes straight through to the final.

Danes look very good, Jepsen Jensen is the stand out rider for me so far.

He got same points as Hans you know. So is it something about the way he rides lol ;)

anyone sussed out individual scores

Yeah it's a very easy meeting to score so long as one remembers the 4-3-2-0 scoring system lol

Same problem with Swedish commentator is normally are very good at commentating, I think it might be a problem with the on screen graphics.

Suspect it's a combination of flexible gate positions and doing it off-screen well away from the stadium.

The on screen graphics are flagging up when riders switch gates and UK Eurosport are picking up on the changes instantly. Plus they have been aware of when Sayfutdinov and Hampel aren't riding.

It would be a great meeting if it was for the old World Pairs championship.

Tickets were available on online for 35 zlotys (7 GB pounds). Scott - Freddie Lindgren (and Lukas Dryml) are not riding because they have a more important meeting at Eastbourne right now.

The highest priority is meetings in which you represent your country. especially when the EL wants to have meetings every day of the week.

Scott Nicholls has already stated that it is difficult to commentate because of the gate position changes. You could sense him holding back from saying "...and off a monitor when you're nowhere near the the track. -I've done it - it's not as easy as you might think.

Unlike Sweden and Denmark etc British clubs are at the whim of their landlords, usually greyhound stadiums and don't get to be able to race on a universally set day.

He's actually just mentioned that their graphics feed from Poland has gone down.

The start line girls are very hot.

(that's a valid comment to make it's part of the speedway experience)
