Humphrey Appleby
If costs are pretty much the same all over and Denmark is cheap for couriers,i wonder how Poland and Czecho manage to produce a good programme and sell it at a decent price? If anyone was at the Zlata Prilba last year and got a super programme and probably entrance to the meeting for less than a Cardiff programme.Either the Czechs are making a loss or someone at Cardiff is taking the p out of the fans Arguably the major costs of such publications are writing the content and to a lesser extent the DTPing. These are 'labour intensive' tasks so costs will be higher in some countries compared to others. Nevertheless, there will undoubtedly be a huge mark-up on a 10 quid programme. Around £8.00 profit i expect. Never ever bought one at any gp though as not really that much in there i think.

Blimey as a main sponsor i would have thought you'd get a sack full free as well as a nubile maiden who fed you grapes and wine throughout the meeting

Shadders
Don't know why people pay those ridiculous food and drink prices inside the stadium when there are so many eating and drinking places all ove the city centre. Drink before going in, eat and drink after.

Awaiting humorous username
Dunno how much I spent this weekend on a top hotel, top price tickets and loads of food and drink, but I can afford it, so what the hell. Some people prefer the cheap option, turn up on the day and buy the cheaper tickets, that's their choice. To me, as a fan of team speedway, the meeting itself is secondary. What's more important is the social aspect of speedway, always has been. Nothing better than meeting up with speedway mates you only see once or twice a year for a good chat and a laugh. This year ranks as one of the best in that aspect, especially Saturday night/Sunday morning in the casino with some drunk mates. That'll live long in the memory. Don't know why people pay those ridiculous food and drink prices inside the stadium when there are so many eating and drinking places all ove the city centre. Drink before going in, eat and drink after. Spot the inconsistency between these two postings 1. I spent loadsamoney and didn't care how much 2. I won't pay a few pence extra for food
Grand Central
Don't know why people pay those ridiculous food and drink prices inside the stadium when there are so many eating and drinking places all ove the city centre. Drink before going in, eat and drink after. I went to the bar at the Stadium because I wanted a drink during the meeting. I went to enjoy myself. Surely that is not too difficult to understand. . I won't pay a few pence extra for food No, he paid for top quality stuff, thus he didn't have manky hot dog or pie int eh stadium but when elsewhere afterwards for quality food at a more normal price. Just because you're happy to spend money for a good weekend doesn't mean you're stupid enough to buy rubbish food when in a couple of hours you can get something decent. Are people really incabale of not eating (or drinking) for 2 hours?

Seems people are happy to pay grossly inflated prices for average accommodation, and to watch racing on poor tracks though.
