SCB
Kauko has decided to run with a team event Leicester vs Kauko's select 7.i will never understand why riders do this. it just puts people off going, nobody cares about the "Kauko Select", where as if it was an individual people may have gone to support their favorite rider. I know someone is inevitably going to say but "the point of the meeting is the support Kauko" but if thats all it was about people would just be sending Kauko cheques for £15. Moaning aside, I do hope Kauko gets a good crowd. A honest racer who also happens to be a decent guy and can have a laugh.

If you didn't go you missed a brilliant spectacle, i've never been to a meeting like it and I don't think I will again. Just seeing the riders having fun riding was a tonic !!!!! I'm sure if everyone who didn't go sends him a cheque for £15 plus petrol he wouldn't turn it down, Edited June 3, 2013 by TMW

Moaning aside, I do hope Kauko gets a good crowd. A honest racer who also happens to be a decent guy and can have a laugh. I asked him why he opted for a team event. It was due to availability of riders with a full Polish League schedule and who would be struggling to ride after a Cardiff weekend. To run an attractive individual meeting means having 16 riders of roughly equal ability whereas with a team event standards between riders can vary as long as the two teams are reasonably evenly matched for strength.

Fair point about trying to get 16 riders of equal ability.
