spin king
Well the rain has stopped and the weather looks a bit more optimistic Nice to see the Promotion bringing in a top Guest for Simon Stead, Oliie Allen was very impressive the other week when he beat Craig Cook not once but twice , the only Sheffield rider to beat Ollie that night was Joe The Passenger Haines. Providing Richard Hall is properly fit, Ricky Wells can show some of his excellent away form, and the two reserves don't coincide an advantage in heat 2, I think Leicester will as Ann Robinson says at the end of the Weakest Link Programme "Go away with nothing." At the end of the day I don't mind what the winning margin is as long as we win by 7 or more, you get the same amount of points whether the margin is 7 or 27. justathought
i hope its a Leicester win or point. But, it won't be easy, when you look at past results not our best away track. Edited May 30, 2013 by nightshift
Al Stewart
Well, I am not too convinced that we will win by such a great margin. Lets keep it real people. Here's my rider breakdown: Oliver Allen : Olly is no Simon Stead, but hes capable, a strong number 1 and knows Owlerton well. Expecting him to lead by example and hit the points. Facundo Albin: This young thrill machine has had a bit of a wobbly couple of weeks. Expect the unexpected with Albin. Will ride the boards, lay the bike down and hit useful points. Joe Haines: Yawn, one of the Sheffield "passengers" Im afriad, too inconsistent, looks off the pace, but i hope joe proves me wrong and bangs points in. Concerned. Richard Hall: Hally is a new rider since his old mate Stead has been back, will want to blow the cobwebs off and Show Olly Allen a few fast lines around Owlerton. Near max expected. Ricky Wells: Ahh Ricky! what a season he is having eh? He is our points machine at the moment and i expect this to carry on against Leicester. Jake Knight: Now that jake is full time PL we can see him relax and grab the bike by the bars, Jake will want to be in the mix from the off. But will he? Damien Koppe: Low score expected im afraid, this meeting could be his last in a Sheffield racejacket if an adequate score is not provided. Gutted as i for one was expecting better things from Damo. Please prove us all wrong. I've just read on the updates that this poster has been publicly criticised by the Sheffield announcer. That is scandalous, this seems to me a perfectly fair assessment and not an unduly negative one, from someone who sounds like a genuine fan. Butch
Just read the comments by Odsalboy, nothing wrong there, just read he's been slated "publicly" at Sheffield ... Very bad move by the person concerned, legal implications! When are people going to learn we all have opinions and we are allowed to voice them? OdsalBoy
Hi All, I would just like to apologise for my assessment post i made earlier. From my point it was an honest post, i have re read it and really cant see anything insulting in there, just my opinion as a genuine life long sheffield fan. I would really like to offer my apologies to anyone annoyed or upset by this post. I am Sheffield through and through and i love my team. Going forward I would like to confirm that i will keep my opinions to myself and just be a reader rather than a poster. Once again to all concerned, I would like to sincerely apologise and to say that i am sorry. all the best. OdsalBoy.

40-38
Edberg must replace Branford in Heat 14!! Why did he not replace Branford??? I can only assume he wanted to give him another ride for his confidence because any other reason is even more baffling. Now Bjerre has crashed out we could end up drawing and losing a point where we could have had all four!
mikec
Really disappointed to read that your rider assessment/breakdown has been commented on OdsalBoy. Have read it twice & can't see anything that should cause offence to anyone. It's reasoned, constructive & it's clear you care about your team. I'm not a Tigers fan, but read it as a neutral interested in fans views on tonight's match at Owlerton. Having an opinion wasn't a crime last time I checked, isn't that how forums work, a platform on which to air your views??

Don't see what you've got to apologise for, it was a sound assessment of the team & guest, & proved accurate by the meeting. You can only speak your mind for so long with Sheffield speedway, they just can't accept when they're in the wrong.
Cue Ball
Where / when was the criticism of the post, I must have missed it. Didn't agree with all of it, but nothing offensive. Well done Leicester, a deserved win. Thanks to Ollie Allen, a great guest that undoubtedly put it all on the line in his 5 races. Guests sometimes don't give 100%, but not the case tonight. Hall's team riding in heat 14 was probably a highlight, but even that went ** up on the run to the line. Hope Bjerre is ok after his nasty looking tumble. graz gp
The assessment by OdsalBoy was quite fair. If the announcer at Sheffield does not like what was posted. Why does he not come on here and tell us what his assessment of the team is. What's that 7 loses in a row. It's not good enough. We are going the same way as last season. I always thought forums were for the purpose of discussing different opinions. If you agree or disagree with OdsalBoy he as the right to have them. Oh and well done to the Lions on your win tonight.
