JC!
Looking forward to my first visit to Central Park, looking likely that the weather will be good; http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2637802 Hoping that the Kings are on form as this looks like yet another tough match for them, it will be interesting to see if Benji Compton hits the ground running. waco
Another tough match for the King s,,Benji will need to slot straight in, but could well be a little rusty ..If the track has indeed improved i would expect our youngsters to be more comfortable on it ...For sure Steve and Ben will need to be on their game if we are to get anything from this encounter. However.Mildenhall dont look as strong as last season ,,,...Stefan Nielsen (NOT RIDING ) has yet to hit top form and Guest Robert Branford is a battler And may well be a better option,,,, On the minus side , John Armstrong may be carrying an injury, and their youngsters may find the track takes time to get used too,so im hopeing for a great afternoons racing,, and who knows ? maybe a good result... blueherb777
Weather looking good.Do not expect the 3,000+ we had against the Americans?,but hopefully around 2,000.Surely Mildenhall will bring a bit of support.
greyhoundp
I really can see Kent winning this one, especially if armo is carrying an injury, Halsey is no more than a 6 point away rider, Bates is hit and miss, Baseby, well he really is one of yours, the 2 reserves could be the difference between the 2 sides, with Branford possibly being the only rider who offers a challenge to your heat leaders. The result could possibly go that way on the basis of Kings showing at Buxton, but Connor Coles, Jack Kingston and Sam Woods still look a shade suspect, while it needs to be seen if Adam Kirby can turn in a score similar to his showing at Buxton. And there must be more sparkle surely from home debutant Benji Compton after a not encouraging debut in the narrow defeat at Buxton. Parsloes 1928 nearly
Hey John (aka JC!) - will be great to see you and the family! I'll be in the 'box' but try and come up and see me! Derek
Guest
There's an excellent weather forecast (go to Monday where that orange thing in the sky is promised), a reasonable high for the team after the showing at Buxton. I reckon a near 2,000 crowd for this match. And if the slightly suspect Kings' tail can wag and Benji Compton scores well in his home debut in the replacement role for David Mason, this could be Kings first victory in the sport. Nikko
It's a beautiful morning here this morning as I look forward to welcoming my old club to Central Park. It's going to be great to see some old friends today although very strange riding against the team I supported from 1977.
builderbob
really cant see kent winning, i can see boxhall and morley to score 28 the rest to score about 14 between them
Guest
really cant see kent winning, i can see boxhall and morley to score 28 the rest to score about 14 between them I take it that comment is based on these scores at Buxton on Sunday - where Kings were in the running for victory until the closing stages: 1. Steve Boxall 3, 3, 3, 2, 3 = 14 2. Sam Woods R, 1, 1 = 2 3. Ben Morley 3, 3, 2, 3, 0 = 11 4. Connor Coles 0, 0, R, 1 = 1 5. Benji Compton 1, 1', 2, 0 = 4+1 6. Adam Kirby 3, 2, 3, R, R = 8 7. Jack Kingston 0, 0, Fx, 2' = 2+1 Edited May 27, 2013 by Guest

builderbob
Gustix, no my comment wasnt based on that match, it was based on the fact kent have 2 quality riders, 4 novices, and 1 rider that has been out for a while, and wasnt over impressive before he droped out of racing. however kirbys score was impresive but you have to realise buxton are also weak at 2,6 and7 so kirby was the best of the novices .mildenhall lower riders will be much more of a test

The new signing Benji Compton after a not over-impressive showing in yesterday's Buxton will have the chance starting in about 45 minutes to show his quality/ies against Mildenhall. I stil have a hunch though that Adam Kirby may have started on an upward trend. Let's see what happens. Edited May 27, 2013 by Guest

Guest
There is a live link to the match Kent Kings v Mildenhall on the home side's website and can be found at http://www.kentkings...ve_Updates.html I see there's been a win and second place for Adam Kirby. He does seem to have found his way at last. Pity Kings didn't give David Mason a couple of more meetings - he could possibly have done the same thing. Do check the link I give. It's the update to the meeting.
SC1
90 minutes and 8 races so far. Great crowd great stadium great weather but shambles of a meeting. They will be lucky to get half the crowd for the next time Such a shame for speedway
KenB1
Could have signed Andy Murrey, amount of backhanders down there!
Guest
Could have signed Andy Murrey, amount of backhanders down there! ????? Despite a 48-42 home defeat a good showing and obviously a thriller for spectators at this Kent Kings-Mildenhall clash. Benji Compton's 12 points from five rides - unbeaten until his last ride, and another gritty showing from Adam Kirby. It all seems to be coming neatly together for the Kings now? Next big test - weather permitting - is at Isle of Wight tomorrow (Tuesday). Edited May 27, 2013 by Guest
