wandersome
Lions did their utmost to lose this one. I hope there are a few sore a*ses in the Lions camp tonight. They all need a boot up the nether regions Hopefully the biggest a*se kick was reserved for the guy who designed that abysml track they all had to try and overtake on though
Al Stewart
should be able to field any riders you want IMO.... Providing they haven't already had 7 rides. They are trying to avoid teams putting out 2 low-earning riders to save money, but they tie themselves in knots trying to find a suitable rule. Tonight the two reserves did well for Plymouth, but of course they have had some easier races than Gathercole. The rule should be something like: "The referee must be satisfied that the teams are fielding strong pairings in heat 15."
wandersome
In the post meeting interview (a great innovation btw that the promotion should be congratulated on) Glyn mentioned that Karlsson will be out on thursday. Does that mean Roynon is back? Mick.

Why was Anderson not allowed but Jacobs was tonight??

Why was Anderson not allowed but Jacobs was tonight?? it was gathercole who wasn't allowed. he was 4th in the averages and 4th in the scorers behind Cookie, Anderson and Kurtz. They could have put Kling in the top scorers race but not Gathercole! Edited May 25, 2013 by volty

wandersome
The first time Roynon rides is in the testimonial next sun. X That's what i thought until i heard that about Karlsson missing. Anyone know why Karlsson is out of the Sheffield meet? Interesting watching Cook tonight. Made me wonder what we'd been missing with Roynon as he and Cook looked pretty similar in the PL and Roynon looked the better in th EL. And what they have in common is they noticably both seem to have the drive to get near the top. If it wasn't for the injury then i think he'd have been there with Cookie at the top of the PL averages. comet49
Craig Cook. Different class, Would have liked to have seen what he can do when coming from behind but different class. Can someone explain the heat 15 situation with Gathercole. He had the same points as Anderson so why no allowed in Heat 15? On updates Cook passed Kauko going into the second lap

lionstigersnotbearsohmy
Well done to the Lions tonight on pulling it back from the brink. Craig Cook looked a class apart. As for entertainment, sadly very little. Sure the Lion's comeback was exciting but the racing was as poor as ever.
wandersome
On updates Cook passed Kauko going into the second lap I can't recall anything like that. Cook could have done a doughnut on each corner and would still have won his races by overtaking everyone down the straights.. did he outdrag Nieminen down runway 1? Maybe the excitement of the rest of the meeting has blurred my memory.
flagrag
Yeah Magnus has Swedish league meeting which has to take priority I got told tonight and that has to take priority due to him being Swedish other clubs have suffered with this as well. I believe Leicester's options are a NL guest who is not already doubling up so no Lewis Kerr,Blackbird or Joe Jacobs or they submit new team with Roynon in it who I am told is prepared to do it. It's a difficult decision the club have to make as Magnus has hit some form will it last ????? On the other hand what form is Roynon going to find after another injury and missing so much of the season. Another option somebody mentioned was to keep Magnus and drop Bjerre but personally can not see that happening. Onto to match Leicester made very hard work of the win and a draw would have been a fair result for both teams Craig Cook looked very good and fast nobody could get near him and good to see a Brit doing so well. The crowd was ok considering a lot of Leicester people went to Twickenham to watch the Tigers in the Rugby

I think it would be a real shame if he didn't end up back in our team for whatever reason and as much flak as i'll get for saying it, up until last week Karlsson has looked pretty average for nearly a year and a half and i'd much rather see the type of rider Roynon is to the type of rider Karlsson is. crowd was about 800-1000 again this week. similar to last week. My favourite option would be to alter one of the bends as the bikerfm guy says and then have Roynon, Bjerre, Doolan & Nieminen in the team providing the passing and entertainment like we all thought we were going to get this year before the season started (and we had a taster of in that Ipswich meeting). TMW
I'm staggered (not)!!!!! We collect all points home and away for 3 meetings and no one mentions Roynon and then on the verge of losing 1 meeting and the Roynon factor is back. I can't recall anything like that. Cook could have done a doughnut on each corner and would still have won his races by overtaking everyone down the straights.. did he outdrag Nieminen down runway 1? Maybe the excitement of the rest of the meeting has blurred my memory. Ummmm!!!! Either a rider who has speed and ability can pass on the track or they can't you can't have it both ways. Which one is it. ????? So can you pass on the track or can't you. You've got me all confused now!!!!!!! Edited May 26, 2013 by TMW
torpointfanatic22
Super unexpected point for the Devils - Monarchs I'm very jealous of you having Cookie, he's the best rider in the league! 3 points combined from Lemon, Kling and Schramm is simply not good enough and I'd be happy to see all 3 replaced. Lemon and Kling were brought in as heat leaders and have performed like a second string and a reserve so I'm looking forward to hearing about the changes. Special mention to Todd and Jake - The first time they've both clicked on the same night and look at the impact it makes, more of the same please chaps!

Which one is it. ????? So can you pass on the track or can't you. You've got me all confused now!!!!!!! To unconfuse you Tina. Speedway is generally thought of as a sport whose entertainment element is riders taking different lines as they go around corners in order to pass each other or stop others passing. It involves a level of SKILL. Drag racing is a sport where people on very fast bikes (or cars) race down some stupidly long straight bit of road to see who gets down the other end quickest. I was making a point that I can't remember cookie doing a pass. If it did happen, I probably didn't notice because it happened down one of our runways and involved no level of skill. Finally I would have Roynon in any team I watch because of the entertainment value he brings and I'd be watching one of Englands brightest talents on a regular basis. That's just an opinion I have that has nothing to do with Leicester's form over the last week or so. Edited May 26, 2013 by volty
Skodaman
Anderson paid 9, Gathercole 8 The reserves only include programmed rides to qualify for heat 15. Anderson and Kurtz both had 8, the same as Gathercole.
greyhoundp
I think Plymouth need to shift Klingon out asap, he has clung on far to long, Lemon is clearly now on a downward spiral, Schrammy great bloke, buts its points that are needed, so i think find adequate replacements for them, and The Devils wont be far away.
