Workington Comets Vs Glasgow Tigers 25th May

Recommended Posts

Thought I would start this one. Excellent choice of guests once again from the promotion, they will all get extra rides with R/R for Kyle. Looking forward to seeing Screeny again, always value for money. I'm going for a 58-34 win for the Comets

This was going to be a tough meeting for us , but since the Comets have turned into the PL all stars - it looks impossible now .

We go there in the hope that Derwent Park suits our new Aussies , and James Wright remembers how good he used to be round there , but with the guests Workington have drafted in for the likes of Mills , we'll be lucky to reach 30 .

Wow another load of ringers drafted in for Worky! FGS your riding Glasgow, not Swindon!

This is ridiculous. If your averages are calculated for the last 38 meetings, then IMO guests should be calculated over the last 12 meetings to show current form and stop this nonsense.

What the hell we supposed to do , no choice but to have guests with Kyle and Ashley on international duties  , and all within the correct averages we are allowed so don't know what you're moaning for !!

Be nice to see some speedway with a 2 week break at DP,

Come on Comets :approve:

Well said, other teams do it, why not us? The management will be working hard to secure the best guests in the best interests of the team and give the supporters a great team to watch. We would like to watch our 7 own riders but circumstances dictate that we can't.

Guests haven't always worked for us. I remember 2 or 3 seasons ago Kevin Doolan scored very poorly for us at Redcar in a match we lost narrowly. The guests are in the rules and however good they it'll be good to have our own 7 riders back.

If your a Glasgow supporter, then I feel sorry for you. Not one rider good enough to be selected for International duty!

As said previously ALL the guest's are within appropriate averages. Go the mighty Comets.

Well below the belt to slag off young BRITISH riders who are trying to ride for this country  Grow Up

Hey these country bumpkins would much rather watch our own 7 riders, we have no choice for christ sake  in case you haven't been noticing but our own lads have been putting big points in at DP having guests is never ideal , but we have tomorrow and that's that

Are you  i'm going too , but still trying to work out why :P

I know it's all above board and i know the speedway star averages include bonus points etc , but on 2013 form . Terrible Aarnio 7.12 - Tobacco Joe 8.48 . Chris Mills 5.91 - Micky Dyer 8.74  . Ashley Morris 5.22 - Lewis Kerr 7.13 . Plus they all can have a r/r ride lol .

So we thought we were onto a hiding with the normal Comets septet , but this line up would romp the Premier League .

I think i might have to have a few in Cockermouth beforehand to numb the pain :drink:

It's all above board but it show the flaws of the Rolling Averages! Think I'll have a couple of Shandies too!

Hahaha , we'd be lucky to get 30 at Ashfield against this side , never mind down there . Hope they're down to normal strength when they come up to ours in early June .

this is also slagging of british riders is it not? even though only 1 glasgow rider could rider for the under 21s anyway and you can bet joe jacobs will be there next year. anyway workyboy enjoy the meeting and hope you dont choke on your jelly tots.
