2ndbendbeerhut
Taken from http://www.ipswichwitches.co GB v Australia Test Next Week The Witches take a rest next Thursday to make way for the first in a series of five test matches between Team GB and Australia. There is a long history of sporting rivalry between the two countries and this promises to be fiercely contested from the start as each team will be fired up to take the first victory. The meeting will be run over 15 heats and normal admission prices apply. Team lineups will be announced as soon as official confirmation is received. Any idea on line ups? EL or PL? Seems strange that Rohan Tungate will not be riding as Poole are at Swindon that night and the meeting is sponsored by one of his Aussie sponsors! This would also rule out Kennett, Batchelor, Birks, Holder and Poole's British riders too! So will be picked:? GB - Woffinden, Barker, Cook, King, Nicholls, Harris, Worrall, Allen, Ellis, Howarth, Bridger, Lanham, Australia - Woodward, Heeps, Smith, North, Doyle, Davies, Grajczonek, Nelson, Schlein, Watt. mickthemuppet
With those teams would Australia actually win a heat .not going to draw many people in , is it
montie
cant see Woffy doing this as he will be on his sponsored bike ride
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
I had the impression this isnt going to be a full test strength type meeting but more a second level event. Therefore Id expect no Tai Scot or Harris for GB and no Holder Watt or Schlein for Oz. Im sure we will know more by about next Tuesday!!! Tom Thumb
Thought it had already been billed as Premier Test series with Barker, Cook, Doyle & Proctor listed on the original version of the advertising poster but the website has another version with riders names missing! http://www.ipswichwitches.co/index.php/home
2ndbendbeerhut
Its does say "Premier International Series" but what that mean? No idea of who's classed as Premier but hopefully find out soon..... As for the other dates: Rye House 6th July Sheffield 25th July Workington 17th August Newcastle 18th August When interviewed tonight, Craig Cook said he will be back next week for the test match. Also heard that its for "Premier League" riders only...... Edited May 23, 2013 by 2ndbendbeerhut
Bash
Its does say "Premier International Series" but what that mean? No idea of who's classed as Premier but hopefully find out soon..... As for the other dates: Rye House 6th July Sheffield 25th July Workington 17th August Newcastle 18th August When interviewed tonight, Craig Cook said he will be back next week for the test match. Also heard that its for "Premier League" riders only...... Craig Cook actually said he wouldn't be at Ipswich for the test match as he had 4 meetings in 4 days starting with the pairs Friday, gp reserve Saturaday, Nieminens testimonial Sunday and Belle Vue Monday. He said it would be too much. Not sure if this meeting will take place as the rumours are that Australia can't get a team together. It seems a bit strange with the meeting less than a week away and no mention of who will be riding for either team.
LagutaRacingFan
My Australian team would be. 1. Jason Doyle 2. Tyson Nelson 3. Cameron Woodword 4. Dakota North 5. Josh Grajczonek 6. Cameron Heeps 7. Alex Davies Strong through the whole line up, North has experience riding around Ipswich and so does Heeps and Doyle flies around the place. dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Pretty even match up that could serve up a real treat of a meeting. Barker v North round 2 to look forward to as well.

2ndbendbeerhut
can't think it's in riding order but GB Bridger, Auty, Barker, Ellis, R Worrall, Lanham, Lawson Australia Davies, North, Woodward, Tungate, Summers, Doyle, Grajczonek So it's Barker vs North part 2! Don't know what is more surprising that there is no Heeps or that Lawson is riding! At least James Wright is not picked! dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Strange that Tungate has been named - Poole are riding that night arent they? Heeps would be been a fair pick in his place at Foxhall.
CardinalSin
Is it the clubs who stage these meetings decision who to include or someone else? Very strange to not see Heeps in the Aussie line up and I agree, strange to see Tungate included when Poole have a fixture. Don't think they'll be best pleased. Bash
Heard at Ipswich on Thursday that Cam was riding in Denmark on the night of the test match, so wouldn't be available.
