Bessiebee
Great news. Don't let SISU buy Brandon under any circumstances, as they have this uncanny knack of not keeping to their obligations. houdi
It is truly unbelievable that so many people have panicked over a complete non story. SISU want the Ricoh Arena, and are trying to distress ACL the management group who own the current lease, so they can obtain the lease cheaply, by forcing ACL into administration. This is just SISU pretending to the Football League that they are 'serious' about moving the club back to its own City, as the FL rules require. 2 years ago CCFC used to have a club shop at the Ricoh , and a club shop in the City Centre, now the club shop (I kid thee not) is a wheelbarrow in the atrium at Tesco's next to the Ricoh. Not one CCFC fan I know seriously believes SISU have any intention of ever building a new stadium anywhere in the Coventry area.
John Leslie
So yet more bluffing and rubbish from Sisu then. Or could it be more bluffing from Sandhu? Â If he is desperate to sell the site, he wouldn't really want Speedway, Stock Car and Greyhound fans kicking up a fuss and potentially scuppering the sale. Best thing to do would be to put out a statement saying there is no threat to the stadium, and then everyone will relax and not cause a fuss whilst he gets on with his plans... Â I'm not saying this is the case. Just saying we shouldn't relax too much.
Woz01
This what City fans have had to put up with over the last few years. I find it absolutely disgusting that Sisu leaked this story, using someone elses business for their own personal gain against a company that works for the Coventry taxpayer.
Sir Jasper
Press statement from the stadium owners at www.coventrybees.co  Whats to stop potential new owners from not not keeping to such agreements?  Or could it be more bluffing from Sandhu?  If he is desperate to sell the site, he wouldn't really want Speedway, Stock Car and Greyhound fans kicking up a fuss and potentially scuppering the sale. beesboybert
even IF (and its a big if) the motor sports are safe, the club should be actively seeking out a contingency plan and this will hopefully be a good kick up the backside for them to do so. Â It is no good whinging about the big bad football club ruining the speedway team, the site is up for sale. If the football club doesn't buy it, then someone else could easily come along and decide to knock the stadium down. Â The club need to do some research as to if there is anywhere else in the area that they could run
BADGER69
There must be some one with the money to buy Brandon and return the Bees to a champion winning side Get rid of SANDHU and HORTON Even consider Matt Ford (tongue in cheek) Where would SISU get the money from I BELIEVE THEY ARE JUST A BUNCH OF CON ARTISTS Trying to upset as many Cov fans soccer and speedway greyhounds and finaly stock cars may be its time for a concerted effort
TesarRacing
I am sure there are plenty of people out there with £8 million but whether they would be prepared to buy a motorsport facility and more than likely, loss-making sports clubs/teams is another matter. Other than tax avoidance, doesn't make much sense.

TesarRacing
£8m? £1m is the figure often quoted in the press. Net worth of Coventry Stadium Ltd as at 31/12/11 was £8.74m. I know that was 18 months ago and a company is only worth what prospective buyers are prepared to pay for it but that is quite a difference. Maybe it is discounted down to £1m for pensioners!! I am still certain that Coventry will start the season at the Ricoh , everybody has seen through SISU . Northampton FC come out of this as a villain in this too , if every local club decided not to let Coventry City use their ground for a little dirty money what would Sisu have done then ? Take a bow Cobblers !!! Edited July 25, 2013 by BANANAMAN
Woz01
Â Â Whats to stop potential new owners from not not keeping to such agreements? Â Â They would be mad to say knock the stadium down without planning permission in place for whatever they wanted to do. The site would be worth a hell of a lot more with the stadium in place. Anyway the site has a convenant for motorsports, people would be mad to buy the site for redevelopment.

You knock it down then there 2 options. The council say no to everything forever and it's just waste land. Or they give permission for a football stadium or houses eventually. It would only be a matter of time before something was built there. Convenant mean jack, ask Cradley and Long Eaton for a start. The clubs own press relase says they took "record takings", so obviusly charging less and all the other stuff works. Guest
Already uproar on twitter from fans of ccfc, speedway & banger racing. Good to see support from riders, speedway sites and fans of other teams. Gp site asking big riders to make some noise. Speedway family are the best. Â Are there any protests from stock car fans? Bangers are something very different? I think stock cars are run at Brandon in conjunction with big players in that motor sport realm - Startrax and Spedeworth? Woz01
When i read the statement from Coventry Stadium i get the impression they are talking to someone who is either Speedway, Greyhounds or Stock car friendly. Whats the guys name running the Greyhounds? He has been mentioned that he can afford it.

I understand he would have the funds and is involved at Brandon anyway. Would certainly make some sense.
