hans fan
We said the same lol. If takes ages to get a few thousand out then theres no way it could cope with a football stadium. Would be a huge crime if a Speedway track that is drawing in the crowds & using Storm, ML & training days to support british speedway was lost due to the mistakes of another sport. Really hope it doesnt happen Harry Findlay (the dog promoter) has another 4 years on his lease so I doubt he'll be going anywhere soon , wouldn't be surprised if he was 1 of the people interested in buying it, whats it for sale for ??? a million ??? he's had bigger bets on tennis and rugby

JamieE
Even getting into the stadium you could see the TGI's roundabout was struggling to cope with a slightly bigger crowd than usual, the traffic lights there aren't set-up for large volumes of traffic using Rugby Road. Â Really do hope Harry Findlay is in the running for the stadium, he's probably the best bet (excuse the pun) for a long term future at Brandon.

I am not from the area but was once told you have to getting planning permission to move your wheelie bin ! Don't think Bees fans have owt to worry about . If he had that sort of money he could have a choice of greyhound Stadiums to buy.instead of just leasing Brandon Stadium.

Harry Findlay definitely has the cash to buy the stadium if you know anything about horse racing he was the owner of some very top horses one of which won the Cheltenham gold cup no problem with money for Harry Edited July 6, 2013 by kingbee

Hes not as minted as people think he is.

I can just see them bulldozing half of Binley/ Brandon woods and widening the road so thy can accommodate a football stadium LOL...  Sandhu couldn't get planning to revamp the stadium, let alone build houses FFS!  Never in a million years!

Steve Shovlar
So how would the sports fans of Coventry react to a badly run football team causing the demise of the city's speedway club?

Bessiebee
So how would the sports fans of Coventry react to a badly run football team causing the demise of the city's speedway club? Â I would be devastated as a supporter of both the football club and the Bees. Â After many years as a season ticket holder I stopped going to the football last season because I refuse to give the incompetent bunch of clowns that run the club any more of my money. I'm hoping that as it will be extremely difficult to get planning permission to build a football stadium on the site that they will keep their grubby hands off it. Â SISU out
Steve Shovlar
Down here, if AFC Bournemouth fell out with their stadium landlords and then decided to buy Wimborne Road to build their new football stadium, there would be absolute outrage and carnage. Never would happen as the council own WR, but there would no doubt be huge uproar.

naffer
Brandon being a football stadium (not a cat in hells chance. Just rumours spread by people with nothing better to occupy thier time  You might well be right, but every time the topic is raised in the Coventry evening telegraph they always interweave the new site for ccfc and Brandon stadium being sold. I mean sisu would always pick the right site wouldn't they?
