Rules?!

So tonight we have the scenrio where Jason Doyle will be riding for his EL club and not his PL. Apparently because his EL booking was made first, which you might think is ok but the rules don't mention this happening, PL always comes first. You might say, "thats fine, it's fair" but you then have the issue of the rule book not allow a facility for a rider who is riding for his EL club, so should Somerset not have to use a 3 point junior at number 1 now?

 

 

Then you have the opposition who have Olly Allen guesting for Simon Stead, you might think thats fine but Olly cannot guest for Simon in the EL as one of his EL or PL averages in higher than Simons (EL average for the record), so why if Simon is missing in the EL do Kings Lynn have to have a guest with a lower EL and PL average but if Simon is missing in the PL then his PL team only have to use PL averages?

Promotors did mean this at the start of the year and think its fair

 

Workington last year rearranged meetings on nights Coventry were already racing so although it was our original fixture date it meant we ended up with Roynon

I do think it's a good idea but it's a big change and its been missed out of the rulebook, what else has been missed out and only a handful of people know of it?

My own version is if it doesn't happen to suit us rule or no rule we'll ignore it.

 

You can have the 'Interests of speedway' or the rule book but you can't have both.

The promoters don't seem to understand why fans are deserting the sport but IMO speedway can only be taken as a casual night out and hope there is some entertainment to be had, the whole idea of Your team of seven riders winning something is just fiction with all the rules that are make up as they go along.

I do think it's a good idea but it's a big change and its been missed out of the rulebook, what else has been missed out and only a handful of people know of it?

Speedway fans are expected to pay top money equivalent to 1/2 div footie to watch a team full of riders that don't ride for your team ,stand in a shambolic stadium ,loose the will to live as 15 heats takes 2 hrs ,scratch our heads at the ever more baffling rules. I still go but not as much I wonder why. ?

I'm Just waiting for the night Berwick rearrange a match for a Thurday so Swindon have to use a 3point rabbit, no one turns up and Rosco wonders why? Every winter the Loonies at the BSPA have the opportunity to simplify the rules, yet make them more and more baffling.
