Sheffield V Rye House (koc) 16th May 2013

I see we are running a guest to replace the injured Simon Stead although Richard Hall is expecting to be fit.

No shortage of riders due to Simon's average. Any ideas???

Craig Cook perhaps.....

Tyson Barber?

I think you can have any rider you want from the Premier League, except Edward Kennett. Pick wisely, Hoggy!

Whoever Sheffield have as a guest he won't score any more that Stead. I'd have expected him to be unbeaten... Weather not looking too bad. It all depends how desperate Sheffield are to get this fixture on.

Hally looks certain to be fit for Thursday according to the Sheffield Star newspaper. Gives the Tigers a lot better chance of going through. I just hope the reserves can do a little better than of late.

Craig Cook: Cook will do us proud. The form he is in then I am confident of a maximum if not very close. Will want to get his head down, tuck in round the bends and smash in some points. Excellent choice of guest.

Facundo Albin: Facundo will want to thrill - there's no doubt about it. This could be the week where we see him really fly. He will do anything possible to have the crowd holding their breath. Will thrill, ride the boards and pull in some useful points.

Joe Haines: Oh Joe Joe Joe, one of our weak links im afraid. not expecting much if anything from Joe. Yawn.

Richard Hall: . Chuffed to pieces that Richard is back. He was in the form of his career prior to his spill. I can imagine Richard will have Steady in his head cheering him on and I reckon Richard will bounce back and card a maximum, Owlerton is his bitch.

Ricky Wells: Ricky Wells... Is stepping up to the plate, Ricky will want to share some love with the Sheffield faithful by rounding up a neat healthy score at Owlerton, watch him go. May turn up in Wolves kevlars.....

Jake Knight : Jake made a bold move this week and has scored big Kudos with the Sheffield faithful. Jake wants it at Sheffield, I feel he is going to reel in some usefule points. A charming young bloke who deserves his shot. Jake to chip in.

Damien Koppe: I am feeling Damo's pain. Owlerton just isnt his track, he looks arkward at times - and the Sheffield fans can feel it. Damo is an accomplished stylish motorcyclist who I am sure will want to bring something to the table, but will he? my prediction from Damo = 1

I no a lot of people have been critical of the tigers reserves, me included but I think we should get behind Jake and Damien. We need to encourage them not get on there back's. They are under enough pressure to perform and they no what they have to do, I am sure they are giving it there all. I bet Steady will be keeping is eye on them tonight. I have a feeling we can do it tonight but it will be close. It sounds as though Hally was flying at scunny while trying his shoulder out yesterday.

I completely agree about getting behind the reserves and while ever they are in a Tigers race jacket I will do so. However

Picking the odd point up between the 2 riders is no good and before long we will be out of the running in all competitions. I like to see young riders given a go but I feel for Jake because really he should have a reliable reserve to take the pressure off him but this hasn't been the case. Damien is a big worry and in my opinion needs replacing as soon as the averages allow. He has consistantly looked slow and at Rye he was half a lap behind. When he makes the gate he seems to panic and has been involved in 2 nasty accidents which he was the cause of.

He is the only replacement I would make and it looks like we could replace him with a rider between 7 and 8 average.

I'm certain bringing in a capable rider of this average will make a huge difference to the team and 1 would expect the promotion to be looking at alternatives now rather than later.

47 43 tonight
