seanmuffe
Indeed - he tried to pull off a move that would have been a cunning stunt and then acted like a stunning ....... .....thank god we aren't still the Hunting Hire Witches or that Tim was still in our team as that would surely bear the brunt of your comments. None of my business do you work on the railway or down the docks by any chance?
Ipswich Jules
Jason Doyle obviously doesn't know the art of team riding as you slow down or speed up to stay with your team mate, I never see him looking for his team mates. As previous posts say he should look at a way of trying to go round an opponent not through them, the sport is supposed to be non contact! Somerset are realy let down by their reserves, they are probably okay at home on their fast track, but when they come to the tight technical tracks they really haven't got a clue how to ride them. A good result for Ipswich in the end, but that dreaded tactical ride almost ruined it. Â I don't know what Somerset have done to Nielsen but he's done probably more laps of Foxhall than the rest of the Somerset team yet on his three visits this season he's had 9 rides and scored 0 points I think? He should of been a trump card for them at Foxhall this season. Â What I've always wondered though is how can an away rider like Doyle be so much faster than our own riders on our own track, whatever gearing, timing and jetting he uses must be spot on, or is it literally that he spends more money on his engines or tuner? The speed he has down the straights is so much quicker. It can't all be down to letting the bike run through the turns and making longer straights. Â It isn't just the speed it seems the chassis set up allows him to turn the bike wherever he wants, he can make cut backs a lot easier with no locking up etc, obviously his experience speaks volumes but I think Foxhall is also one of his favourite tracks to ride. Â Also for what it's worth, I just have a feeling that despite the asset thing, Tungate will be riding for Poole next year and if he rides PL then it might be with Somerset. I've nothing solid to base this on, just a feeling I have. Edited May 17, 2013 by Ipswich Jules

I think basically its that Doyle is so much a better rider than any of the Witches riders. But its not just Jason that look faster than the Witches riders is it? Look at Davies going by Tungate as though he was on a push bike and there are numerous cases of Witches riders being passed by faster riders, as they creep around the inside of the track. It seems several Witches riders are so unwilling to go for the grip wider and take the soft options of the inside!! Certainly Ben, Adam and Cameron certainly on the whole do try the wide lines, so do not come into the category of safe liners!!
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Would that be the wide line that Ben has used so successfully in heat 1 all year Aljackal?

Bash
Obviously I can only judge him when he rides at Ipswich and not once did he look for his team mate on Thursday, or in the previous meeting against Somerset!

Trying to coax around and protect an inexperienced and slower rider than yourself is much harder I would imagine at an unfamiliar track than it would be on your home track.

That is correct, home track advantage is a big factor.
