brandonbee48
Worra start for the almighty Blacksmiths. I'm sure Ghostwalker will be happy with an 8 point lead after 4 heats "Go Smederna" Respect! you fitting in some racing right until the last moment. You are a true speedway fan, although i fear your better half would change that to fanatic lol. Oh yeah, don't forget to pack your summer woollies....from the news today "The summer may be only weeks away but snow is predicted to fall in parts of Britain today. Freezing temperatures and heavy rainfall mean high areas of England, Wales and Scotland could see light snow or sleet." Once a fan....We had sleet here yesterday mate, so we know what to expect. Smederna were the first club to stream their meetingsa few years ago. One camera and "stuttery" but we grew to be fans, and now they are back in the Elitserien. May miss the finish when the airport ride arrives, but till then..... Evenin' let's hope we get a good meeting, i await with interest the first glimpse of the track we'll get soon on our screens. Looks like Smederna are doing what is necessary to reverse their fortunes, namely their top riders upping their games this week. Look for a jig-dancing Ghostwalker in the crowd. A few years is a long time in internet technology much to our delight. Martin Vaculik notches another win in a much stronger heat than the first line-up he faced. Ghostwalker
Excellent start by Smederna. Very impressed by the Danish rocket Kenni Larsen.
brandonbee48
Wow, after 7 that is a score-line that will have Ghostwalker tweeting a smiley from the terraces. . Incidentally, what we miss on this telecast is that Smederna have the best music in speedway! But what else could you expect from the land of ABBA ? DJ, Cue up The Surfaris with "Wipeout" Edited May 14, 2013 by brandonbee48

DJ, Cue up The Surfaris with "Wipeout" Can't be bad as they opened up with Thin Lizzy's 'The Boys Are Back In Town ' I can picture a slow-motion speedway video clip to that. brandonbee48
Yikes! All over after 10 heats. Whodda thunk it ? Embarrassing for Vetlanda, but these things happen once in a while. A least i know who won, even if we leave before heat 15. Enjoy you guys and i'll join you all again at the end of the month. Regards. Alan. Ghostwalker
Heat 10, looked like a 1-t out of the gates, but a very smart first corner by Kenni took him up into the lead, AJ managed to secure a third going out on the second lap. Then into the second bend on the third lap, AJs move on Hampel.
manchesterpaul
This seems a very long break here in the UK on tv, is there a problem? Is the meeting going on in the meantime lol? I see they just toying with us as they zoom back as the tapes go up for heat 11. It's great we've got another summer of Swedish speedway. I love the timing of the meetings in Sweden and Denmark as we can toddle off out for the night after it. Been some good racing especially when you look at the scoreline. Everybody heading off for refreshments on their way home, so hope nobody over indulges in the native beverages which means Brännvin/Absolut Vodka etc. for the riders, Guinness for some on here and whatever the pub and then club has in stock for me. Good to see your team win so handsomely Ghostwalker. Edited May 14, 2013 by manchesterpaul
Ghostwalker
Vetlanda were surprisingly weak, but to be fair on them, they've lost Madsen, Emil S and Crump from last season so they're not as strong as they have been. However Hampel, Vaculik, THJ and Zmarzlik should have done better. From Smederna's point of view, its good to see that Kenni Larsen continues to show good form. Laguta, Zorro, and PK bounced back from last week, Andreas is just as steady and reliable as he "always" is in Elitserien. Anyway here's a pic of my filled in race card: http://i.imgur.com/fue1Qqx.jpg Also Kenni's time in heat 2 was a new track record (for meetings with the new silencer). His time was 60.2 seconds. pandorum
Not a bad match considering the score. I could not get on here last night as it was slower than Chris Harris in a GP. Some great passing and Laguta showing again that he deserves a GP wild card. A solid team perfromance by Smederna who look like a title challenging outfit. Elit a shadow of what they were last year. I was surprised at the hammering they took, and i say that solely going on the team they put out on the day. Ruud had another stinker and Vaculik's last three (four really) races very pitiful. Smederna did as the fans hoped they would and had last weeks top men return to being top men. Very impressed with Kenni more than good. He's been piling up the points in the UK and Denmark too. Anyway here's a pic of my filled in race card: http://i.imgur.com/fue1Qqx.jpg A lot neater than the way i fill in the ones at the track Edited May 15, 2013 by manchesterpaul
