Ghostwalker
So good folks, its time for round 2 and Smederna's first Elitserien meeting at home for almost 4 years. The weather forecast looks a bit mediocre to decent depending on where you look. The preliminary teams for the tv-meeting between Ikaros Smederna and Elit Vetlanda will be the following: Ikaros Smederna - Elit Vetlanda Ikaros Smederna #tv meeting# Andreas Jonsson Magnus Zetterström Grigorij Laguta Krzysztof Buczkowski Peter Karlsson Oliver Berntzon Kenni Larsen Elit Vetlanda Thomas H Jonasson Mikkel Bech Jaroslaw Hampel David Ruud Martin Vaculik Jacob Thorssell Bartosz Zmarzlik IMO Buczek and PK should have been swapped as PK imo is not a heat leader. race card for this meeting: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?tb2ur308s48mwef Dackarna - Piraterna Dackarna Patryk Dudek Dennis Andersson Fredrik Lindgren Darcy Ward Simon Gustafsson Michael Jepsen Jensen Patrick Hougaard Joel Larsson . Mikkel Michelsen Piraterna Greg Hancock Maciej Janowski Jonas Davidsson Przemyslaw Pawlicki Linus Sundström Chris Holder Anton Rosén Fredrik Engman Indianerna - Hammarby Indianerna Emil Sayfutdinov Antonio Lindbäck Piotr Protasiewicz Joonas Kylmäkorpi Niels-Kristian Iversen Damian Balinski Mathias Thörnblom Hammarby Alexandr Loktaev Leon Madsen Artem Laguta Mikael Max Grzegorz Walasek Alexander Edberg Sebastian Aldén Vargarna - Västervik Vargarna Tomas Gapinski Kim Nilsson- Peter Kildemand Grzegorz Zengota Adrian Miedzinski Anders Mellgren Pontus Aspgren Västervik Chris Harris Daniel Nermark Peter Ljung Tomasz Jedrzejak Hans Andersen Ludvig Lindgren Troy Batchelor Also have in mind that even though some riders did very well at the reserve last week, 12 heat is required before the floating average decides if a rider goes into at 1-5 or at reserve. Until 12 heat is reached, season entry average will decided positions for reserves. manchesterpaul
Ditto the Welcome Back. I was just about to offer thanks to R&R for the speed in setting up this thread now that the teams have just been announced. TV meeting racecard AVAILABLE NOW FREE MiniMax Racecard Elitserien Ikaros Smederna Vs Elit Vetlanda Tuesday, 14th, May, 2013 All Elitserien MiniMax racecards are initially available with the officially announced provisional line-ups. I will then check for any changes shortly before the match commences and make any amendments accordingly. It's your choice as to whether you wish to print out on the provisional line-ups or wait. UPDATE Count mine as PROVISIONAL. I've just noticed Ghostwalker has Mikkel Bech at number two for Elit Vetlanda whilst i copied the official line-ups and have Mikkel B Jensen in that spot. I'll investigate further for nes of injuries or changes. Unless Ghostwalker is still around to tell us what gives. Ok i see Smederna's site go with Ghostwalker too. I'll check a couple of other sources and likely change mine to that, i'll see if i can find out what the change is, unless Ghostwalker informs us with his upcoming 'info' Lol, i'm changing nothing as a quick Google tells me that Ghostwalker's and Ikaros Smederna's websites Mikkel Bech and Svemo's Mikkel B Jensen are one and the same lol. I'm starting to get irritated with all these triple part Scandinavian names. It's bad enough trying to figure out whether they have a double-barrelled surname at times or showing the middle christian name due to sharing a very common name with someone else in the sport.. Mikkel Bech changed his name from Mikkel B Jensen to not be confused with Michael Jepsen Jensen and Mikkel Michelsen. ;-)
manchesterpaul
Mikkel Bech changed his name from Mikkel B Jensen to not be confused with Michael Jepsen Jensen and Mikkel Michelsen. ;-) Bloody Hell! lol lol. Thank you very much for that info. Don't see why anyone would have got confused, but bet you many are confused now lol. To make matters worse on his website he uses both names Mikkel Bech in several places and also the older name such as in Speedwaykøreren Mikkel B Jensen betegnes som fremtidens mand i dansk speedway. Find info, billeder, videor og meget mere på siden. In his profile he has FULL NAME: Mikkel Bech Jensen. So the solution is simple! Mikkel Bech Jensen it is in the hope that catches all, including those who are unaware such as SVEMO!!! I haven't got time right now but an easy way to check is to view his rider registration in the countries he rides in.....and hope he's not got a mixture of failing to update in some countries and not others? Incidentally, i take it he is the Mikkel Bech riding at number two for Esbjerg on Monday, i have him as Mikkel Bech in that one as the Danish authorities list him as that. See what i mean about only updating some of his registrations, or maybe a case of authorities not updating their rider database they use for their websites? iris123
Bloody Hell! lol lol. Thank you very much for that info. Don't see why anyone would have got confused, but bet you many are confused now lol. Denmark and the danes are confusing lol.I agree. Can't see how he is going to be confused with Mikkel Michelsen and anyway he hasn't changed his first name which is the thing he has in common with Michelsen.Even one texter the other day was getting confused though and writing Mikkelsen, which could be confusing because there is a young rider called Mikkelsen.Think his first name is Thomas though??? We did have the confusing problem of two Jesper Kristiansens. One eventually became Jesper S.Kristiansen and then totally dropped the Kristiansen and became overnight Jesper Sögaard!!And one of the kanalsport commentators told me he wondered who the hell Kenni Larsen was riding in England as in Denmark he went under Kenni Arendt. In Denmark Kenneth Hansen goes under the name Kenneth Kruse Hansen and i think it must be one of his family is Kenni Kruse...But it is not only the riders that could confuse, but the teams as well.I saw Brovst win on saturday it was on their race jackets, but in the programme(ok racecard, but i didn't want to mention that lol)they were named as Bogense Motor Klub!!!Last season i remember seeing Glumsö win a meeting, but if you looked on the official card they were Midtsjaellands,etc.... manchesterpaul
Just been on the DMU website and in their article on the first leg of the Danish Championship next friday in the text they refer to Mikkel B Jensen and in the rider line-up list they have Mikkel Bech. Gee never knew about the Kenni Larsen/Arendt confusion. My God are they all trying to avoid tax, child maintenance payments, bailiffs or Interpol? lol.
Ghostwalker
Two changes for the meeting between Dackarna and Piraterna, no R/R for Ward as Simon Gustafsson will take his place and Joel Larsson is replaced by Mikkel Michelsen. Greg Hancock is replaced by Maciej Janowski. Edited May 13, 2013 by Ghostwalker

manchesterpaul
Don't know if the rain forecast for this morning transpired but it looks dry at the moment in Eskilstuna for the televised match. Incidentally, there are several very good webcam sites for Sweden. The one below covers areas around several speedway tracks and has links to traffic cam networks etc which also helps in seeing current conditions. http://webbkameror.se/webbkameror/index.php http://www.webbkameror.se/webbkameror/eskilstuna/index.php

manchesterpaul
Smederna got thrashed in their first match of the season away to Piraterna (39-51). A very poor showing from Magnus Zetterstrom (0 0 1), and also not kicking up any dirt were Peter Karlsson with 4 points from 4 rides, Grigory Laguta 1 point from 3 rides. Krzysztof Buczkowski was erratic with two wins and three duck eggs. If their top riders can hit form today they could have a good meeting in light of the performances from their reserves in the opening fixture Kenni Larsen with 10 points and Oliver Berntzon who had 7 points from four rides. Elit Vetlanda beat Vargarna in their opener (47-43). Five of their seven heat wins were shared between Jaroslaw Hampel with three of them and reserve Bartosz Zmarzlik grabbing a couple. Martin Vaculik was steady and David Ruud was awful (1 0 1). Thomas H Jonasson and Mikkel Bech Jensen* will both be looking to gain their first race wins of the season. *(hee hee yeah FULL name to avoid confusion lol) Its currently raining in central Eskilstuna at the moment. There is a smaller rain area that needs to pass before 19.00 http://www.smhi.se/v...sverige-1.27021 Yeah i just had a glance at the cam, didn't think on to check the radar as a couple of forecasts i had glanced at were saying it would be dry for the meeting. Anyway i don't want to become a weatherman so i'll just wait and see what happens when the tv comes on. Do you have any knowledge as to how well or not the track handles rain? Do you presume there is no danger to the meeting? Edited May 14, 2013 by manchesterpaul
Ghostwalker
I think that is a risk that Smedernas meeting gets delayed. The other meetings should be ok. Ok, you're on your own now, I have go to the bus. Be nice to each other. Edited May 14, 2013 by Ghostwalker

We have to leave for the airport at 3pm here so i hope i get some heats in, if not the whole meeting. That will be it then until "real-life" at Peterborough and Brandon on the 27th. Freezing temperatures and heavy rainfall mean high areas of England, Wales and Scotland could see light snow or sleet." Evening everyone, in the studio and on air in 15 minutes! Evenin' let's hope we get a good meeting, i await with interest the first glimpse of the track we'll get soon on our screens.
