Although I'd expect Kyle Howarth to be there (not only deserving, but northerm-based and a great attraction for Workington supporters to travel across country) is it possible that -- for instance -- David Bellego could be nominated? He needs to consolidate this year and keep scoring well and he may have a good chance of not needing a wild card next year. Definitely one of the new Polish brigade of young talent. He showed what he was made of last year with some battling 3rd places one of which got his team 3rd place last season. Some stunning performances this year. His time will come! Following the first round (of three) for the World U-21 Championship, riders from Poland, Latvia and Russia are leading the points table as the world’s very best young riders roll into town for Shielfield Park’s first-ever World Championship Final. This will be biggest speedway event ever staged in the border town, and pays tribute to the hard work by the club’s ownership since taking control less than five years ago. With riders from at least three other speedway nations joining the leaders, their followers will flood the town with visitors from all over Europe, for the World Under-21 Final on Saturday, August 10th. freddyfivetoes Posted July 3, 2013 Report Share Posted July 3, 2013 Howarth didn't do his chances much good at Pila, but BSPA (who get the takings, rather than the Berwick promotion) will have an eye on the travelling support to be attracted from Workington. As the FIM put Kyle into a round in Poland, is there a chance they might nominate David Bellego (on the same financial grounds) to be the other wild card?
