Mr Blobby
Scunny stay unbeaten in the league after 4 matches - although 3 of those have been draws (the only team we've beaten is Scotland's No 2 team). Looks like a draw was about a fair result today. All the best Rob You seem to keep getting your 1's and 2's mixed up there.
screm
Given that Grieves wasnt having the best of days, you wonder if one of the reserves shouldnt have taken one of his rides, they were both scoring well and mightve been the difference between a draw and a home win. Weeyin
I thought that Sean would have replaced James in heat 13 with JJ or Harley, but James came out on Joey Ringwood's bike for that one , still finished last but was a bit more on the pace. Well done to scorpions for putting on a show. Thought Joe Jacobs was unlucky to be excluded for moving at the start, he was not the only one moving ! Great meeting for Henning , swapping to no. 2 seemed to have helped . Can't wait for the Tigs to click all at once, oh and James Wright did well too and super Joe Screen, gaining legend status around Ashfield
em1500uk
Well done to Glasgow for getting the meeting on and finished! Sounds like it was proper wet up there today (bit like here at present!) Think that was a good draw. How did David Howe look? Only asking he's riding with broken ribs... Think he's a mad man personally but hey His score wasn't too bad. highroad119
The 14 riders were a credit to their teams. Was going to give this a miss due to the poor conditions, but the promotion deserve better so headed off not expecting much. Well after 3 or 4 heats the racing was competitive and exciting. There seems to be so many more racing lines now. Passes on the inside st Ashfield! Honest. Scunthorpe deserve great plaudits for getting in amongst it and Palm Toft just doesnt know when to take it easy. Good entertainment and a fair result. Glasgow speedways new promotion take a bow! Replacing Grieves with Horwood or Jacobs would have been a smart move as JG was pointless to that point and was poor at the gate. Its unlikely one of the reserves would have got any points against the top riders though you never know. In ht14 I think we should have replaced Ringwood, on gate 4, with Jacobs who showed last week in the same heat he will wind it on out wide, plus he would still have been raging about his tapes exclusion in ht12. However we still never lost, just hope that next week with a poor weather forecast we don't put anywhere near the amount of dirt on the track, looked like it needed bladed after a few heats, and only the drizzle eventually going off made it better. Paulco
Was surprised this even went ahead , never mind giving us as much entertainment as it did . Scunny were well worth the draw , but it was a credit to both teams and the trackstaff that we got as good a meeting as we did . There was a decent racing , especially Birks' move in heat 14 to go from 3rd to 1st round the outside on the 4th bend . But there were multiple passing lines as Henning proved when getting the inside line to work on a couple of occasions . Great to see the big man having a decent meeting . Cant be too critical of James Grieves , he's been our saviour on so many occasions in the past , let's hope he gets over soon what was bothering him today .
