screm
 We are not at war with Eurasia...  And if I should faulter Would you open your heart out to me We should make love not war And live with peace in our hearts  I'm no expert on speedway bikes, but reading some of the posts on the subject is it fair to say that the new silencers mean the bikes struggle on deep grippy tracks?  With the silencers and the way the bikes are now its mostly when the tracks are patchy that riders struggle it appears. I told you I wasn't an expert! Â I've only been to around a dozen or so meetings since my "debut" in 2005, but even I've noticed how passing has become more and more infrequent in recent years. The races seem much more spread out now. Whether it's the track or the quality of the riders I can't say. Berwick are certainly missing Lee Complin. alang
If Berwick had a fit, reliable number 1 we could carry out of form riders till they got confidence/form back. You can't put all the pressure on second strings and reserves to win meetings and make up for guests or R/R.It sounds harsh but the promotion need to get a realistic idea of how long Ricky is likely to be out and if necessary sign a temporary injury replacement number 1-who can gate. No,I've no idea who but somebody in the Elite league might want to make a few extra pounds doubling down or up or whatever. You can't go on hoping a rider might be back next week or the next.Until that gets sorted Heat 15 deciders are never going to go our way-nor is Heat 13. Don't know if is in the rules or not but if it is surely this Saturday we need to get a guest for David Bellego and R/R for Ricky. Is Micky Dyer busy?
Bandit59
How far we have come since pre xmas when we not sure we would have speedway here at all.I am sure 99 per cent of fans myself included [you cant please all the people all the time] were pleased when the team was announced but bad luck with Ricky and other riders not having the best of luck we have not had the best of starts.I am sure the manager is as worried as the fans as someone on here has already said most teams will go through bad times i just hope ours is over shortly.Next saturday will be extremely difficult without David but we should all get behind the team or come xmas we may all be back to square one.I dont think there are many options available. Â According to last nights programme Ashworth will be missing for anything up to a month. Â Berwick can use Dyer next week but only as cover for Ashworth. Taylorj
Well been quite a while since I was at Berwick and was really sweet to go back and take 3 points from my far from favourite place . If the racing was better last night for the Berwick fans then jeez god help you I dread to think what it had been like in previous weeks. Only 2 passes all night, if you don't get out the gate that's it you've had it . Not a lot of atmosphere either, a massive difference to Scunny on Tuesday, I suppose the downside of the track being so close to houses, no airhorns allowed , all adds to the atmosphere imo. As for the Berwick team I really think you have a decent team, if you can get a good guest to cover Rickys spot for the next few weeks, I don't think there is anyone out there stronger than what you already have, decent second strings and decent reserves, I would stick with what you have , maybe its more to do with the track than the riders . Well dine Worky a fine TEAM performance Edited May 5, 2013 by Taylorj

screm
Really, list them all please, sure I was watching the same match  From memory,Tabaka passed Edberg Ht2,Smith passed both Comets riders Ht4,Smith & Aarnio both made passes in Ht7.Thats four, making your post incorrect.  Remember just because riders arent passing and re-passing,that doesnt mean there wasnt decent racing.Ht15 for example,Comets riders made the gate Harrison lead all the way,but there was great covering going on from Lawson who had both Berwick riders to contend with.

Bandits4eva
Correct me if I'm wrong anyone else from Berwick but I put this question to David at the start of season Q&A and was told that we'd be eligible to have a facility for him! Or am I now making things up in my head?

rgcumming
If we did take Dyer as a guest, could he take a rider replacement ride or would he be bound by Ricky's average? Dyer would be a brilliant guest! Even at number 1.
